Noisy Maracas

Materials For Each Chlld: 6 stnps of crepe paper. 1 * x 6*

2paper plates. 10" in diameter

dried beans

tempera paints

paintbrushes

CkJSS Preparationg:

For each child, cul six 1" x 6“ crepa-paper stnps.

Have a stapler ready.

Plrectiong:

1.    Pamt pattems on the bottom of both piates.

2.    Staple ihe plates together around the edge !eaving one smali gap. O

3.    Pour a handful of dried beans into Ihe gap.

4.    Ftnish stapling the plates together. O 3. Glue crepe-paper stnps to the outside ofthe maraca. as shown.

New Year Noisemakers

Materials For Each Chlld:

2 paper cups dry beans

colored paper strips

1 sticky tabel with the datę of the New Year glue

Clagg Preparationg:

Cut different-colored paper scraps Into strips. Write the datę of the New Year on each child s sticky label Have tape ready.

Pirectłong:

t. Put some dry beans in one paper cup 2. Tape the two paper cups together. as shown. O

•3. Decorate the outside of the cups by gluing on strips of colored paper.
