Philip Rogers jtarted tcacnmg in 199?. and cvno to our school in 1994. He was bom m I960 in England and Coesrit rerrernber much of the I960’s. He wasnt interesced in football then and didn't scc England win the World Cup in 1966. The first big news story thac he remembers is v/hen che Americans landea on cho mocn in ! 969.

In tlłc 1970’s. PhJip remembers holidnys in Comwall. He stayed wth his aunt in a house with a bcautiful vicw of the sei and a bosy harbour. His aunt had a boat and ihcy often went sailing and sometimcs they caugitt fish. He swam evcry day ard ate lots of Cormsh ice crenm.

In 1978. Philip vrcnt to univer$ity n Oxford. He was quiie shy and didnt like livmg thcrc at first. Liter he mace some friends and likcd liviiig in Oxfcrd Hc scarted going co football matches and conccrtS. He liked gomg to a place called The Oranges and Lomons'. He saw lots of banes thercbut he cidnt sec anyone famous because u wat a v«:ry smali płaco.

Afcer universky. Philp went to livc in London. This was in the 1980’s and Philip now hates looking at photos of this tune. Clothes and haircuts in the 198Q's were very strange! He didnt have a good job. It was difficult to find worit. Ho worked in a burger bar on a tram station. He liked the job buc lve had to get up at 5 c‘deck because hc scarted work at 6 in the moming. He liked irring in London but he didnt Iivc in the centre. He livcd in a płaco called Tattenham m Nortli London.

In 1988. he left London and went to America. He went in Cctobcr and came heme in Decem ber. Ic was a jrreat time. Hc travelled ali over the country hm he dkfn’t sleep in hotols. Tle travdlcd at night by ols ard slept on ;ho bus. His fnvourite place was New York. He !oved the big city and the smoli of food e/erywhere.

Now he is married and has two children. He is a teacher and he likes to remember when ho was young.
