Cover ihe second bedside table in the same way To cover the top of each. use p;nk sugarpaste trimmings and out two circles usmg the 5cm (2in) crncle cutter. Posit-.on and smooth the top edge.

6 With the remaining purple sugarpaste. thmly roli out and cut a heart usmg the template (see p.93). Stick it onto the headboard using a little sugar glue and smooth to remove the ridge around the edge.

MODELLING THE ACCESSORIES

7 To make the stnped bedcover. colour lOOg (3'/k>z) ot the sugarpaste green. 75g (2VÅ›oz) deep pmk and 100g {3Vk>z) btue Roli out the green and cut a strip to cover one third of the bed. Ieaving a gap at the top and base.

Smooth at the base to g>ve a 'tucked in' appearance. Comptete the bedcover with deep pmk and biue stnpes.

Split 90g {3oz) of the white modeiimg pastÄ™ into three pteces. To make a pillow. shape into an ovai and pinch up four comers. Bend mto position and stick onto the headboard Make two morÄ™ pi'tows and posilmn them on the bed. Push sugar sticks or lengths of rav/. dried spaghetti through these. leaving the sticks protruding

Colcur 22g (³/*oz) of the modeiimg pastÄ™ deep pink. Usmg just under 7g (Vioz) to make the teddy lamp base, model an oval-shaped body and head. Stick the head secureiy to the body then shape two smali ears. With some pale pmk tnmmmgs. model a flattened circle fer his tummy patch. a muzzle and two eyes. Mark a smile using the miniaturÄ™ circle cutter pushed m at an upwards angle and shape four tiny sausages of deep pink to stick onto his body for paws Push a sugar stick through his body. Ieavmg it protruding in order to hoÅ‚d the lampshade m place after it is madÄ™.

To make the octopus lamp base. roli 7g (’/*oz) of deep pmk modeiimg pastÄ™ mto an ovai Pmch m the middle to create the neck. Make cuts to separate the legs. mark a smile and make two eyes usmg pale and deep pmk trimmings. Push a sugar stick down through the octopus. Using a linie deep pmk pastÄ™, wrap a piece around the base of each sugar stek. just above the top of each lamp base.

To make the lampshades. split 60g (2oz) of white modeiling pastÄ™ in haif. Shape one piece mto a teardrop and press the rounded end down to flatten it.
