CAKE BOARD
1 Colour 315g (IO02) of the sugarpaste (rolied fondant) deep blue. Rcll thts out and cover the cake board. trimming the excess from around ihe edge. and then pul it aside to dry. Colour I5g (Yjoz) of the modelling pastÄ™ black and put aside a minutÄ™ amcunt to use later. Roli the remaining piece into a bali for Man/ins head. This ban will sink si-ghtly when left because of the colour content. so put it aside for 10-15 mtnuies After this. gently re-ro i it in order to re-shÄ…pe it. then put it aside to dry. preferably on a piece of foam.

THE PLANET
2Slice the top off each cake where they have nsen. then tum them over and tnm cff the crust. Using buttercream. sandwich the two cakes together to make a bali shape. then spread a thin layer of buttercream over the surface. Leaue ttłis to set for around 10 mmutes
3 Colour 875g (1%lb) of the sugarpaste green. Using 30g (1oz). make smali, (lattened balis and press them over the cake surface. Rewo rk the buttercream or add extra to help the sugarpaste stick. Roli out the remaining green and cover the cake. Stretch out the oicats around the s-.des and smooth downward and around the shape. inmmir.g the excess from the base. If you need to cut a pieat away. dust your hands with ic-ng (confectioner-s) sugar, press the cut edges together and smooth the surface over with your hands to close the join.
