Top wheelmount frame assembly

Glue four pieces trogether before cutting slots for splines

Make splines of just the right thikness.

Make the triangle a little larger than the slot. Grain direction should be as shown.

Cut rabbets on the edges last.

Cut four slots with the frame held at a 45 degree angle on a tenon jig. Cut the slots 4.6 cm deep.
