Christian de Portzamparc Palais des Congrts, Porte Maillot Paris, France, 1996-2000

This design for an extcnsion and refurbishment of the Porte Maillot convention center is located on an exiremely busy roundabout on the axis leading from the Champs-Ćlysćes to the Ddfensc area of Paris. Using Computer-aided design, the architect has added a volume that is raked forward, toward the roundabout. with large-scale signs announcing current events.
