Between them, Mum and Grandma Dora havc inspired me to learn crafts, break rules, find short cuts, be bold with pattem and colour and especially to ‘make something tliat has a little bit of you in it’.”
It would be remiss of us not to find out just whatjacqui predicts we’ll all be stitching ovcr the coming months - soJacqui has thc last word, until next month, when hcr regular coluinn in CrossStitcher begins. “Visually there are influences from the 1950$ to the 1970s, and a big dose ofoversized texture mixed with fine details. Lino cut prints, bold and linear graphics, blowsy blooms, nostalgie iconography, and highly illustrated colourful animals are all set to be huge in fashion and home with a huge fun factor. And, of course, I think there are going to be some cracking cross stitch designs going on.”
