Li-Fraumeni syndrome

* LFS is diagnosed in patients meeting established clinical critcria. Morę than 50% of patients diagnosed clinically have an identifiablc disease-causing mutation in the TP53 genc (chromosomal locus 17pl3.1). Of these mutations, 95% can be detected by direct sequence-based DNA testing that is clinically available.
