KICK STARTER

REMOVAL

♦    Drain transmission oil. (CJ"2-9)

♦    Drain engine coolant. (C^T⁵12-3)

♦    Remove the cotter pin and rear brake pedaÅ‚. (C7*15-14)

♦    Disconnect the water hose ©.

♦    Remove the kick starter lever ®.

♦    Remove the clutch cover bolts and remove the clutch cover

♦    Remove the clutch. (ĆT*7-3)

♦    Remove the primary driven gear ass’y- ((^^7-6)

Remove the kick idle gear snap ring Remove the washer and kick idle gear {§>._N \ V, \ Unhook the kick return spring ©x \    \\ \

Remove the kick starter shaft <2>.K V \ \^N 3

• Remove the following parts from the kick starter shaft: Spring guide ®

Kick return spring @

Spring ®

Kick starter ®

♦ Remove the washer ® and kick drive gear ® by removing the snap ring.
