Viking Agc. In any case, thc function of Lund is basically directcd at thc local province, and it is in this contcxt that we sce thc mint, which in thc cleventh ccntury was thc largest in Denmark. In 1104 thc first Scandinavian archbishop was seated in Lund.

One, or perhaps two, sites arc known with tow^rn-like functions, but with a rural structure in terrns of food supply and constructions.
