Embcllish hamper with stickers; apply sealer.
Cut wo pieces of batting the same size as hamper ,Cut a piece of chenille 2" larger on all sides than ifcng pieces. Layer batting and chenille on hamper; jp chenille to bottom of lid and hot glue in place. Hot glue bali fringe along top edge of hamper. Hot e ribbon on top of fringe and along bottom edge temper.
ku will need a 30" x 45" yellow chenille rug. I 7> yds lkchenille jumbo rickrack; I7/* yds blue rickrack; eps of green, blue. yellow. and pink fabric; yellow, k. and green embroidery floss: '{* yd craft fleece or r-loft batting; fabric glue; and freezer paper.
Read Making Flower Sets, page 55, and use iterns on page 57 to make flowers and leaves for flower centers, cut one W* dia. circle and one {ja. circle of yellow fabric. Read Embroidering ige 95 Sew running stitches around entire circle 'from edge. With fabric right side out, puli thread to jhtly gather fabric; knot thread to secure. Flatten so atgathered circle is at the center.
3. Use matching floss to backstitch details on pink flower and large leaves. Use yellow floss to secure flower centers to flowers with a large cross stitch.
4 Cut each length of rickrack in half. Glue rickrack along short sides of rug, wrapping ends to back.
5 Glue flowers and leaves to one end of rug
Painted Tray
Yardages are based on 44/45"w fabric.
You will need a 14" x 22" decorative frame with cardboard insert; 'h yd yellow fabric; 1h yd craft fleece or low-loft batting: two leaf-shaped drawer pulls; painter’s masking tape; primer; blue. green. light green. pink. white, and yellow acrylic paints; paintbrushes; 7«" round foam brush; elear acrylic sealer; olfice stapler; and drill and '/«" drill bit
1. Remove insert from frame Read Preparlng to Paint and Painting, page 93. Prime frame and handles.
2 Mask edges of frame as needed. Paint inside edges of frame green and mair. sides of frame blue. Paint outside edges yellow and pink. Paint leaves on handles light green and stems and leaf veins green.
3. Read Painting Designs. pages 93-94. Use foam brush to paint white dots along blue sides of frame
4. Drill holes for drawer pulls through frame. Attach drawer pulls to frame.
5 Apply sealer to tray.
6 Cut a 14" x 22" piece of fleece and fabric. Wrapping to back of insert, layer, then staple pieces in place.
7. Replace insert in frame.
You will need Lazertran transfer paper and a ceramic lotion dispenser, tissue box, water glass. and toothbrush holder
I Color photocopy images on pages 58-59 onto Lazertran transfer paper. enlarging or reducing as needed to embellish containers as desired. Cut out each image.
2. Foliow Lazertran instructions to soak images in water and apply to ceramic containers.
