Objectives of the course
The goal of the lecture is to present the 20th and 21 st century Polish history in comparison with political and economic events in Europę and in the world. The lecture enables to understand the significance of a historie event and facilitates uncovering the interrelatedness between different societies and countries.
Contents
The 20th century Polish history; the First and Second World War; the interwar period; fascism; communism; political opposition after 1945; martial law; political and economic transformation in 1989; the fali of communism; the session of the Round Table; Poland versus European Union.
