KROCZĄCE PROGNOZY

Prognoza to zapowiedź przyszłych faktów, zdarzeń, zjawisk poparta badaniem (np. analiza statystyczną). Prognoza różni się od budżetu:

nie ma charakteru zadaniowego,

nie jest obligatoryjna i sztywna jak budżet,

—► jest elastyczna i nie bazuje na nieaktualnych danych, nie musi być zatwierdzana przez zarząd, może dotyczyć dowolnych zjawisk w dowolnym okresie.

Prognozowanie kroczące (rolling forecasting) polega na ciągłym przesuwaniu horyzontu prognozowania (np. jeśli prognoza dotyczy jednego roku, to co miesiąc lub kwartał aktualizuje się prognozę, tak aby w każdym miesiącu/kwartale dysponować prognozą o rocznym horyzoncie czasowym).

Cechą prognoz kroczących jest zróżnicowany stopień szczegółowości prognozy (im krótszy jest horyzont czasowy, tym większa szczegółowość prognozy).
