Overvicw of operating system: Definition, functions of operating system, concept of multiprogramming, multitasking, multithreading, multiprocessing, time-shanng, real tune, single user & multi-user operating system.
Computer Yirus: Definition, types of viruses, Characteristics of vimses, anti-virus software.
Planning the Computer Program: Concept of problem solvmg. Problem definition. Program design, Debuggmg, Types of errors in programming, Documentation.
Techniques of Problem Sokfing: Flowcharting, algorithms, pseudo codę, decision table, Structured programming concepts, Programming methodologies viz. top down and bottom-up programming. Computer Iainguages: Analogy with natural language, machinę languagc, assembly language, high Icvcl language, compiler, interpreter, assembler, cliaractcrisucs of a good programming language.
Searching, Sorttng, and Merging: Linear & Binary Searching, Bubble, Selection. and Insertion Sorting, Merging.
Overview of Netu'orking: An introduction to Computer networkmg, NetWork types (LAN, WAN, NLAN), Netw-ork topologies, introduction to internet and lts uses.
