• Course description:

Course will be presenting modem Computer tools for the analysis of problems of biological Sciences. Effective methods of searching of different databases connected to biological Sciences containing: literaturę, physicochemical properties of proteins, their seąuences and structures, mutations and metabolic paths will be described. Computer aide analysis of nucleotide and protein seąuences (seąuence alignment, domain and motif search, prediction of physicochemical properties and secondary and tertiary structure of proteins) and analysis of metabolic paths will be explained. Finding of evolutionary relationships between sets of seąuences / organisms and construction of phylogenetic trees will be discussed.
