SUMMARY
This article analyzes motivating factors of forest division employees. An attempt was madę to determine the motivation level of employees depending on groups and motivating factors. In the study 18 factors were highlighted, which were classified into five groups of motivation: sanctions, materiał factors, recognition and acceptance, prestige and competition. Thanks to the incentive ratio the motivation level for each group and factor was set.
Studies have shown that the motivation level depends on the use of motivating factors by the management. It also depends on sex, educational background and work experience of employees.
The strongest incentive groups in seąuence were: recognition and acceptance, and materiał factors. Prestige, competition, and sanctions however had the slightest influence on the employees activation. Women with higher education have been morę motivated than men with the same degree. However, in case of secondary education, men showed greater motivation. The motivation level of men and women with higher education is slightly weakening with an increase of their work experience.
The studies are preliminary research, conducted on a smali group of respondents, therefore, conclusions expressed in the article require the verification and confirming in research on the wider group of employees.
