takes new tasks which seem to be a new challenge and an area to improve compe-tences and get the feeling of satisfaction. A child with Iow self-esteem receives new tasks with fear as a threat, caused by the lack of his own abilities and competences. That is why the latter avoid such tasks in order not to be cńticized, feeling shame and fear. Many psychologists point out a big importance of self-evaluation in the process of forming personality. They claim that any disorders may be caused on the basis of negative messages from those who take part in the process of education. It means that self-esteem is shaped by a number of factors which are anchored in family surrounding such as conditions and the process of upbringing (upbringing conditions stimulating children’s growth and self-development regarded as a safe world. On the contrary, negative and unfavourable upbringing conditions are a danger for the psychical life of a child); family living conditions as well as the parents’ education. Hence, conscious and planned actions taken up by the school aimed towards building strong people self-esteem linked with improving the process of self-introduction, self-consciousness and improving social competences supporting the perspective of positive existence are a necessity and a pedagogical challenge at the same time. School syllabuses, referred to the upbringing process on each level of education, should comprise aspects and categories helping self-upbringing and self-development of all students no matter what social background they represent.
