RETAIL OUTLETS

Sud Architekt is preparing construction of multi-functional complex worth ca. 1 billion PLN in Katowice. Sud Architekt, a Polish branch of the French company Sud Groupe, is supervising architectural and administrative preparations connected with plans for the development of the PKP property at Szewczyka Square in Katowice. The enterprise will include the construction of a complex of service-retail-office outlets and a freestanding service-retail-office building for approx. 1 billion PLN.

Let us recall that Neinver is the only entity which has been allowed to enter negotiations with PKP concerning the realization of investments in the area of the Main Train Station in Katowice. ■

PW Ekspres is preparing construction of shopping gallery with area of 25,000 sqm in Nowy Sącz. “Stare Miasto”, a company belonging to Kazimierz Groń, is conducting preparations for the construction of a shopping gallery in Nowy Sącz (Małopolskie Voivodship). The outlet, with an area of approx. 25,000 sqm, will be located in the area of Bulwar Narwiku and Piotra Skargi streets. The mayor of Nowy Sącz, Ryszard Nowak, is a supporter of the investment. The project has been, however, negatively opinioned by the Voivodship Heritage Conservator's Office in Krakow.

Currently in Nowy Sącz Polimex Mostostal is building a shopping gallery for TK Polska Operations. The construction will cost 105 mln PLN. Copernicus Capital, Newag and Sandbanks are also preparing investments in the city. ■

Aedas will design shopping center with area of approx. 30,000 sqm in Warsaw-Wilanów. The Aedas architectural workshop has prepared several concepts of a shopping center planned on an approx. 1-hectare lot on Przyczółkowa Street and the extension of Płaskowickiej Street in Warsaw-Wilanów for the “Wilanów One” company. The final parameters of the outlet are not yet known, but it can be expected that, depending on the chosen version, it will have an area of 25-35,000 sqm.
A transportation study of the investment has been prepared by the TransEko Company, but the date of the commencement of the works has not been set yet.

“Wilanów One” is a company created by AFI Europe from the Africa Israel Investments Group holding and the Macquarie Global Property Advisors fund, which has been building a residential complex by the same name for
2 years. The development will consist of 2,000 apartment units. ■

Tebodin will supervise construction of IKEA shopping center with area of 20,000 sqm in Krakow. This week Inter IKEA Centre Polska entrusted Tebodin SAP-Projekt and Portico Development with contracts connected with the modernization and development of a shopping center on Conrada Street in Krakow. The first company will serve as project manager and the company's duties will include organizing the individual contracting tender procedures. The second company will be the supervising inspector.

The investment, designed by Artur Jasiński's architectural workshop, will consist of the reconstruction of the existing outlet, with a usable area of approx. 10,000 sqm and the construction of a new section, probably also with an area of approx. 10,000 sqm, and parking lots for 720 vehicles. The works will most likely begin in August. ■

Mycielski Architecture is preparing concept of multi-functional center with area of 12,000 sqm in Bydgoszcz. On April 28 the City Council of Bydgoszcz decided to create with “Kino Centrum Fordon” a company with the TUP Company. The company will deal with the construction of the “City Point” shopping-entertainment center in the district of Fordon.

The preliminary design of the enterprise was prepared by Mycielski Architecture & Urbanizm. It assumes the construction of a complex with an area of 12,000 sqm, consisting of a multi-screen cinema and a shopping gallery. The outlet will be built on an almost 1-hectare lot, which will be contributed to the company by the City of Bydgoszcz. ■

BPF Inwestor is preparing construction of DH Hermes with area of 7,500 sqm in Skarżysko-Kamienna. The Inwestor Legal-Financial Office from Biała Podlaska is planning the development of the DH Hermes Department Store in Skarżysko-Kamienna (Świętokrzyskie Voivodship), on Krasińskiego Street. The enterprise will include the modernization of the existing outlet with an area of 3,000 sqm and increasing it in size to 7,500 sqm. The design of the investment, which will be completed within 7 months, was prepared by Dariusz Król's workshop from Marki near Warsaw. Offers for contracting of the outlet are being accepted until May 12. ■

Fibat is seeking contractor of hypermarket with area of 8,000 sqm in Piaseczno for Decathlon. The Fibat engineering-consulting company, acting on behalf of the French Decathlon chain, is seeking the general contractor of a hypermarket in Piaseczno near Warsaw. The outlet, with an area of 8,000 sqm, will be built on a 1.7-hectare lot on Energetyczna Street, which was purchased from Multi Hekk. Administrative procedures connected with obtaining permits for the realization of the enterprise are being conducted by the Niebieski Dom Company, while the design of the building was prepared by AS Architekci. ■

Coplan has prepares construction of Decathlon hypermarket in Żory. The Katowice branch of Coplan has prepared the architectural concept of a Decathlon hypermarket in Żory (Śląskie Voivodship). Niebieski Dom Company commenced environmental procedures several weeks ago. The investor is planning to locate an outlet selling sports equipment on Francuska Street. ■

Agromex Development and ElbudProjekt are preparing construction of Galeria Leszno. ElbudProjekt from Poznań has been entrusted with the design and contracting of electrical installations in Galeria Leszno, which Super-Pol is planning to build together with Agromex Development on 17 Stycznia Street in Leszno (Wielkopolskie Voivodship). Let us recall that the architectural concept of the complex, with an area of 35,000 sqm, was prepared by Budoplan. DTZ will deal with commercialization. ■

KDT is interested in purchasing lot with area of 1.6 ha for construction of shopping center in Warsaw. Merchants' Department Stores Company (Kupieckie Domy Towa rowe, KDT), which manages the market hall on Defilad Square in Warsaw, is planning the construction of a shopping center at 78 Okopowa Street. The company is planning to purchase a lot with an area of 1.6 hectares for the investment through a tender procedure which will be announced by city authorities the middle of this year. According to preliminary assumptions a department store approx. 3 stories high is planned there. More architectural details will be known in the second half of this year. ■

Coplan, in cooperation with PGA Motors, is preparing construction of BMW retail-service outlet in Falenty. The construction of a BMW automobile dealership with workshop facilities is planned in Falenty near Warsaw. The designer and substitute investor of the outlet, which will have an area of 5,000 sqm, is Coplan Polska. The enterprise will be financed by Delta Investments,
a company created by PGA Motors. A tender procedure is currently in progress for the general contracting of the enterprise.

Coplan is also supervising the construction of the Mercedes automobile dealership in Poznań. The outlet, which will have an area of 2,500 sqm, will be put to use in the fourth quarter of this year. ■

Krokus is preparing construction of Intermarche and Bricomarche complexes in Pyrzyce. At the end of last year the Krokus Company from Poznań commenced administrative procedures connected with plans for the construction of a retail-service complex consisting of Intermarche and Bricomarche chain outlets in Pyrzyce (Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship). The enterprise will include the construction of outlets with retail areas 1,100 sqm and 900 sqm and a fuel station. ■

Terg is preparing construction of supermarket in Bytów. Several weeks ago the Terg Company from Złotów received conditions for the construction of a large area retail outlet in Bytów (Pomorskie Voivodship). The investor is planning to build a supermarket offering household electronics. The retail area of the building will not exceed 2,000 sqm. ■

Jeronimo Martins has obtained permission for construction of retail outlet in Miastko. Jeronimo Martins has obtained permission for the construction of
a new retail outlet on Kazimierza Wielkiego Street in Miastko (Pomorskie Voivodship). The investor is planning to locate a pavilion near the existing Biedronka supermarket. The company is currently trying to obtain permission for changing the traffic system near the complex. ■

Toyota will build retail-exhibition complex in Warsaw. Toyota Włochy, an authorized dealer of Toyota automobiles, is conducting preparations for the construction of a showroom in Warsaw. The investment will be located at 112/114 Włodarzewska Street and will include the construction of a showroom and a servicing station. ■

PRODUCTION AND WAREHOUSE OUTLETS

Vatt Invest is preparing construction of logistics center with area of approx. 95,000 sqm near Wrocław. At the end of last year Vatt Invest received permission for the development of a logistics-warehouse complex with office facilities in Domaszczyn, in the commune of Białołęka near Wrocław (Dolnośląskie Voivodship). The planned area of the two new halls is estimated at over 14,000 sqm.

The investor is already in possession of outlets with an area of approx. 23,000 sqm. The company has been working on the construction of these outlets with, for example, Trasko Inwest. The complex will be developed by a total of approx. 95,000 sqm. ■

International Gdańsk Fairs is preparing construction of exhibition complex with area of 20,000 sqm. Preparations for the development of a property in the area of Żaglowa and Stadionowa streets in Gdańsk-Letnica for the construction of the exhibition complex of the International Gdańsk Fairs (Międzynarodowe Targi Gdańskie) are at the stage of preparing the preliminary development concept. The enterprise will include the construction, in several stages, of outlets with a total area of over 10,000 sqm.

Representatives of MTG have not revealed the name of the architectural workshop from Warsaw, which is preparing the concept. The detailed schedule of the enterprise will be known within a month. ■

AB Projekt will prepare design of complex of halls in Poznań with area of 19,000 sqm for 7.4 mln PLN. Consortium of workshops AB Projekt and Progreg has submitted the lowest bid, with a gross price of 7.4 mln PLN, in a tender procedure for the documentation of the Franowo tram depot on Folwarczna Street in Poznań.

A i B are also taking part in the procedure.

The investment, being carried out by the Municipal Public Transport Corporation (MPK), will consist of the construction of a main hall with an area of 9,400 sqm and
a cubature of 75,000 meters3, warehouses (over 5,000 sqm), workshops and garages (approx. 2,200 sqm) and social-office facilities (1,200 sqm). Additionally, railroad tracks with a total length of 12.9 km have also been planned on the premises of the complex. Design works will be completed within 12 months. The enterprise will be supervised by Safege Polska. ■

Helio has entrusted Metalplast with contract for construction of 8,000 sqm-warehouse hall in Brochów. In the past few days Helio, one of the leading distributors of dried and candied fruit in Poland, has informed of having entrusted Metalplast Budownictwo Krzysztof Mieciek with a contract for the general contracting of
a warehouse hall with an area of 8,000 sqm in Brochów near Warsaw. The contract, worth 10.5 mln PLN, will be carried out in a 9.5-month cycle. ■

IPB and Sofir will build production complexes with area of approx. 8,000 sqm in Oświęcim. In the past few weeks two companies with Italian capital, IPB Polska and Sofir, have received positive administrative decisions connected with plans for the construction of industrial plants in Oświęcim (Małopolskie Voivodship).

A metal stamping press with an area of approx. 5,500 sqm will be built on Chemików Street by IPB, while Sofir will build a hall with office facilities (2,200 sqm). Both companies have purchased the property from Synthos SA. The investors' plenipotentiary is Marcin Morończyk. ■

Atlas Ward has acquired contracts for contracting of halls with total area of over 11,000 sqm. Atlas Ward has informed of having signed contracts for the realization of works on the construction of halls with a total area of over 11,000 sqm.

The company will build outlets for the Municipal Waste Plant (MZO) in Trzebania in the commune of Osieczna (area of 4,000 sqm, general contractor Hydrobudowa 9), for Alsecco in Nysa (4,300 sqm), Meinert in Jelenia Góra (over 1,000 sqm, general contractor BudInwest), the Avans hypermarket in Zabrze (area of 2,700 sqm) and ITR Poland in Nowa Ruda (area of 3,100 sqm). ■

Amwim will build halls with total area of approx. 12,000 sqm. Amwim has informed of having obtained contracts for the construction of production halls with
a total area of approx. 12,000 sqm. An outlet with an area of 5,500 sqm will be built in Rzeczyca near Piotrków Trybunalski (Łódzkie Voivodship) for the Agrea Company, an outlet with an area of 1,800 sqm for Agrochamp in Wschowa (Mazowieckie Voivodship), and a building with an area of 4,300 sqm for Mostostal in Gliwice (Śląskie Voivodship). ■

Gramen has leased 3 hectares for construction of waste utilization plant in Hrubieszów. The Gramen Company has won a tender procedure for the lease of app. 3 hectares of land located on Gródecka Street in Hrubieszów (Lubelskie Voivodship). The investor has announced developing land for the construction of a complex utilizing solid and liquid (sewage) waste. ■

OVE Arup is preparing reconstruction of Rolls Royce Marine production complex near Gdańsk. OVE Arup is completing the modernization design of the Rolls Royce Marine production complex in Gniew near Gdańsk (Pomorskie Voivodship). The investment will include the thorough reconstruction of a production hall with an area of approx. 4,800 sqm and the realization of traffic infrastructure. Offers are currently being accepted from companies in the tender procedure which should be solved within several weeks. ■

Chemadex will develop production complex of Polski Cukier in Werbowice for 30 mln PLN. In mid April Krajowa Spółka Cukrowa (National Sugar Company) signed a contract with Chemadex for the construction of
a product warehouse (silo) in the Cukrownia Werbowice branch (Lubelskie Voivodship). The value of the works on the outlet, which will have a capacity of 50,000 tons, is
30 mln PLN. The works will begin in May and take
18 months. ■

Euroimplant will build laboratory in Stare Babice near Warsaw for 20 mln PLN. Euroimplant is preparing the construction of a laboratory in the commune of Stare Babice near Warsaw. The planned outlet will have a usable area of 2,000 sqm and the cost of its construction is estimated at 20 mln PLN. The company is trying to obtain a subsidy from EU funds for the investment. ■

NWM and K-Shop Tech will build factories in Kostrzyńsko-Słubicka SSE for approx. 16 mln PLN. The management of the Kostrzyńsko-Słubicka (SSE) has settled two tender procedures for the purchase of land and conducting activity in the zone. K-Shop Tech from the German Koerling group will build a plant employing
25 people in Kostrzyn nad Odrą for 6.8 mln PLN. Meanwhile NWM, a Luxembourg-based producer of dietary supplements for athletes, will carry out an investment worth 9 mln PLN in Gubin, creating 15 new jobs. ■

Management of SSE “Starachowice” seeks contractor for reconstruction of building with area of 1,600 sqm. Bids for the modernization and development of
a production-office outlet located in the SSE “Starachowice” Special Economic Zone (Świętokrzyskie Voivodship) are being accepted until May 22. Design documentation of the building, with an area of 1,600 sqm, was prepared by the Protech workshop from Starachowice. ■

OFFICE BUILDINGS

Comfort Development Group is planning construction of office park with area of 120,000 sqm in Warsaw. Final works connected to the architectural concept of an office park planned on Łopuszańska Street in Warsaw-Włochy are in progress. The project is being supervised for Comfort Development Group by the company Hermanowicz Rewski Architekci. The enterprise will include the construction of complexes with a total area of 120,000 sqm (usable area of approx. 80,000 sqm) with
A-class standard offices, completed with retail-service space and an underground garage for 2,000 vehicles. We have not managed to obtain information connected to the schedule of the investment. ■

Skanska in cooperation with Medusa group is preparing construction of office building in Krakow. Medusa Group, acting on behalf of Skanska Property Poland, is working on the design of an office building which will be built on Kapelanka Street in Krakow. According to earlier information obtained by PREM, the Swedish investor wants the outlet to have an area of approx. 24,000 sqm, but it is not yet known whether it will be possible to obtain permission for such parameters. ■

Promed is preparing construction of office building and warehouse with area of 10,000 sqm in Łomianki. Promed, a distributor of pharmaceuticals, is planning the construction of a logistics-office complex in Łomianki near Warsaw. The investment will consist of the construction of an office building with a usable area of approx. 5,000 sqm and a similar-sized warehouse hall.

The project manager of the enterprise is Portico Development. The general contractor of the enterprise will be chosen in the third quarter of this year. Documentation of the complex is being prepared by the M&K workshop from Warsaw. ■

Sipińscy has designed office complex with area of 12,000 sqm in Poznań for IIG. The Sipińscy Architectural Workshop, acting on behalf of International Investment Group (IIG), has prepared designs of office buildings in Poznań. The construction of two outlets (7 and 5,000 sqm) is planned in the area of Polkowska and Bukowska streets. During the construction of its previous outlet in Poznań (West Point), IIG cooperated with engineering-consulting companies Savant and MDR. ■

Kazimierski i Ryba has prepared office complex with area of 8,000 sqm in Warsaw for Optimum Inwest. The Optimum Inwest Company is making administrative preparations connected with plans for the construction of an office outlet in the area of Pawia and Dzielna streets in Warsaw. The concept of the enterprise was prepared by the Kazimierski i Ryba workshop and Portico is the project manager. The investment will consist of B+ class office buildings with a lease area of approx. 8,000 sqm. In mid April the investor received an environmental decision for the enterprise. ■

Kredyt Bank and Genpact have expressed interest in construction of office-service center in Lublin. Ewa Krawczyk, director of the Exterior Communication Team of Kredyt Bank, has informed that the company she represents has submitted an investor's application to the authorities of the Special Economic Zone in Lublin. The Bank is interested in opening an accounting center which would employ 800 people.

Genpact is also getting ready for the construction of
a similar complex in Lublin. The outlets will most likely be located on Grygowa Street. The sale of the lots should be finalized in mid May. ■

Pozbud will commence works on Hydrobudowa-9 office building in Poznań for almost 20 mln PLN. Hydrobudowa-9 has entrusted Pozbud with contracting, supply and assembly of aluminum and steel fittings, and facade cladding for the construction of their office building on Górecka Street in Poznań. The contract, worth over
19.6 mln PLN gross, will be carried out from mid this year until the end of this year.

Let us recall that the outlet, the investor and general contractor of which is Hydrobudowa-9, will be 5 stories high and will have a usable area of 20,800 sqm. The enterprise was designed by Ewa and Stanisław Sipińskis' Architectural Workshop. ■

UW is seeking substitute investor for construction of outlets with cubature of 168,000 meters3 in Warsaw. The University of Warsaw (UW) has announced a tender procedure for the services of substitute investor for the realization of the first stage of the “Ochota” Center of New Technologies, in the area of Banacha and Pasteura streets. The investment will include the construction of two outlets: a 7-story education-laboratory outlet with a total area of 22,600 sqm and a cubature of 98,600 meters3 and a 6-story educational outlet (27,700 sqm and 69,400 meters3). Offers with a tender deposit of 80,000 PLN are to be submitted by June 1. The deadline for the completion of the enterprise, designed by Kuryłowicz & Associates, is 50 months. ■

MPL Kraków-Balice is seeking designer of development of passenger terminal. John Paul II International Airport has announced a tender procedure for the modernization and development design of the Kraków-Balice passenger terminal. The value of the works on the documentation, which should be completed within 20 months, will reach 21 mln PLN net. The tender deposit has been set at 0.5 mln PLN. The deadline for submitting applications for taking part in the tender procedure passes on May 15. ■

Seven applications have been submitted in tender for construction of WSiZ teaching outlet in Kielnarowa. Erbud, Trans Bet Łojek, Hartbex, Budostal, Besta, Best Construction and Krośnieńskie Przedsiębiorstwo Budowlane have submitted applications for taking part in
a procedure for the general contracting of the International Education Center in Kielnarowa (Podkarpackie Voivodship). The investor of the enterprise is WSiZ from Rzeszów.

The order pertains to the construction of a 4-story teaching outlet with a usable area of 5,400 sqm and
a cubature of 21,400 meters3. The deadline for the completion of the investment is set for September 30, 2011. The cost of the enterprise is estimated at 22.5 mln PLN, including 17.3 mln PLN which will come from the European Fund for Regional Development, 3 mln PLN from the national budget and 2.2 mln from the investor's own funds. ■

Skanska has acquired contract worth 19.3 mln PLN net for construction of teaching outlet in Opole. The Opole University of Technology has recently informed of entrusting Skanska with a contract worth 19.3 mln PLN for the general contracting of the Faculty of Physical Education on Prószkowska Street. The design of the investment was prepared by the Arch Studio Workshop from Opole.

We informed in April of last year that the lowest bid for the construction of the outlet was submitted by
a consortium created by Bartimpex and Energopol Opole. The contract was not signed because the price offered exceeded the budget which the University had at its disposal. ■

PM Group will design laboratory complex of Jagiellonian University with area of approx. 6,000 sqm. A consortium of PM Group Polska and Project Management Limited has won a tender procedure for preparing the design of the Jagiellonian Center for the Development of Medicines (JCET), planned on the premises of the 600-lecia Campus of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. The Irish companies will receive 217,000 PLN net for the realization of the enterprise.

Niras and the SAR Company from Katowice are also taking part in the procedure. The enterprise on Bobrzyńskiego Street will consist of the construction of an outlet with an area of approx. 6,000 sqm. ■

Customs Chamber in Katowice is seeking substitute investor for construction of 6,000-sqm office building. Bids with a tender deposit of 8,000 sqm are being accepted until June 10 in a tender for the position of substitute investor for the construction of the seat of the Customs Chamber on Słoneczna Street in Katowice. The enterprise will include the construction of an office building with
a total area of 6,200 sqm and a cubature of 32,000 meters3. The outlet, designed by the Pro-Arch-2 workshop from Katowice, will be put to use in October 2012.

The design of another office investment in Katowice will be ready in June of next year. A 3-story building with an area of 1,000 sqm will be built on Gwarków Square for the needs of Radiometry for the Central Mining Institute. Bids for the architectural documentation of the enterprise are being accepted until May 4. ■

CTO will build laboratory complex in Gdańsk for over 13 mln PLN. In mid April the Ship Design and Research Center required the administrative permits necessary for the construction of the Fire Laboratory on Rzeczypospolitej Avenue in Gdańsk. The cost of the enterprise will exceed 13 mln PLN. CTO has already acquired subsidies for the realization of investments from EU funds. ■

NOW is seeking update of design of Library of University of Zielona Góra for 377,000 PLN. The NOW Architectural Workshop from Łódź has recently received an order (through single-source procurement) for updating the design of the Library of the University of Zielona Góra on Wojska Polskiego Street. Documentation of the outlet, which will have an area of 13,700 sqm, was prepared in the workshop in Łódź in 2004. In the second half of this year
a tender procedure for the general contractor of the investment will be announced. ■

Dobczyce authorities plan construction of education-sports complex with cubature of 34,600 meters3. Until 4th June, Dobczyce City and Commune Office (Małopolskie Voivodship) will be collecting offers with
a deposit of 45,000 PLN concerning the realization of the shell structure of the Regional Education and Sports Center. The investment comprises the construction of
a lecture hall with a usable area of 2,200 sqm and a sports hall (1,600 sqm). Works on the complex with a cubature of 34,600 meters3 are to be carried out by the end of March 2010. ■

PZL-Świdnik seeks architect for laboratory with area of 1,500 sqm. 5th May is the deadline for submitting offers, along with a deposit of 10,000 PLN, concerning the design of the Systems Integration Laboratory in the area of the Communications Equipment Factory (Wytwórnia Sprzętu Komunikacyjnego) of the State Aviation Works (Państwowe Zakłady Lotnicze) on Lotników Polskich Av. in Świdnik (Lubelskie Voivodship). The functional and usability program anticipates the construction of a 3-story building with an area of 1,500 sqm and cubature of 7,700 meters3. The contract is to be carried out by 31st August of this year. ■

HOUSING INVESTMENTS

Frankonia will build complex with 400 flats and service premises in Poznań according to design by RKW. Frankonia Polska, division of the German company Frankonia Eurobau, is planning the construction of the “Ogrody Ludwiki” residential complex at the junction of Droga Dębińska and Bielniki streets in Poznań. Nearly 400 flats with usable areas of 40 - 160 sqm are to be built in three stages on a land plot with an area of 3.8 hectares. The first stage, named “Park View”, which is to begin this year and end in the second half of next year, is going to comprise the construction of 129 flats and 10 service premises, spread over six 5-story buildings. The second stage will comprise the construction of 34 apartments in two-story building development, and the third with approx. 200 flats in 4- and 6-story buildings. The whole investment, the value of which is estimated at 300 million PLN and was designed by Wojciech Grabianowski from the RKW Polska office, is to be ready in 2011. ■

Danprojekt prepares concept of “Grochowska 206” complex for Dom Development. Danprojekt has prepared for Dom Development an architectural concept for the “Grochowska 206” apartment-service complex, planned on Grochowska Street in Warsaw. A complex with a usable area of 48,000 sqm, including 690 flats (37,000 sqm), shopping-service premises (7,800 sqm) and offices (2,800 sqm) will be erected on a land plot currently taken up by the Dom Handlowy “Universam Grochów” retail center. No decision concerning a schedule of the investment has been taken yet. ■

Dom Development is planning construction of apartment building at Małachowskiego Sq. in Warsaw. Works on the construction of a 9-story apartment building are to begin next year at Małachowskiego Square in Warsaw. The investor of the building with a total area of 19,600 sqm and usable area of nearly 11,000 sqm is Dom Development. The building will be erected based on architectural documentation prepared by the Hermanowicz Rewski Architekci office. ■

RKW is designing complex with 385 flats in Gdańsk for Pirelli Pekao. RKW Polska architectural office, a division of the German company Rhode Kellermann Wawrowsky, is preparing documentation for the Pirelli Pekao Real Estate residential complex, planned in the area of Angielska Grobla, Na Stępce and Dziewanowskiego streets in Gdańsk. The investment, the cost of which is estimated at 47 million EUR, will comprise the construction of
385 flats and 1,800 sqm of shopping space. The construction works are to begin once the works on the “Nowe Ogrody” residential complex on Szafarnia Street, with Pol-Aqua as general contractor, are finalized. ■

Tebodin issues tender for construction of apartment building with total area of over 18,000 sqm in Poznań. Until 17th June, Tebodin SAP-Projekt will be collecting offers in a tender for general contracting of an apartment building, planned at 46 Górczyńska Street in Poznań. The investment will be carried out by the SAP-Apartamenty Company, established by SAP-Property and the Poznań based developer Agrobex.

According to the design, prepared by Jarosław Dzierżyński from Biuro Usłg Inwestycyjnych “Forum”, the 11-story building with 101 flats is going to have a total area of nearly 18,200 sqm and usable area of approx. 8,500 sqm. The construction works are to begin in the 3rd quarter of this year and last probably until the beginning of 2011 (exact date will be set by participants of the tender in their bids). ■

Marvipol seeks contractors for housing investments with area of over 20,000 sqm. Marvipol Development has issued tenders (without determining the deposit and deadline for submitting offers) regarding general contracting of two residential investments in Warsaw.

One of them, named “New Hill Park”, will be carried out in the Młociny district, in the area of Pułkowa, Encyklopedyczna and Pasymska streets. According to documentation, prepared by Grupa Projektowa Domino,
31 buildings with a total usable area of approx. 17,500 sqm will be built on a land plot with an area of over
3.8 hectares; nearly 15,800 sqm of the buildings' area will be taken up by flats, and the rest for shopping-service-recreation facilities.

The second investment is an apartment building on Wyścigowa Street in the Mokotów district, with a usable area of over 3,400 sqm, designed by Britt Plan. The construction works in both cases are scheduled to begin in the 3rd quarter of this year. ■

Marti Solanes will build residential-service building with 70 flats in Krakow. Marti Solanes Development will soon begin the construction of a residential-service building on Bobrzyńskiego Street in Krakow. The 6-story building is going to have 45 flats and 15 shopping-service premises with areas of 30 - 150 sqm. Documentation of the investment has been prepared by the A-Graf office, and the general contractor is going to be Tecnos, who is currently working on the 1st stage of the complex. The investment is to be finalized in the 2nd half of next year. ■

Victoria Dom will erect building with 76 flats in Warsaw-Białołęka. In the middle of this year, Victoria Dom will begin the construction of the Osiedle Talarów residential building on Mehoffera Street in Warsaw-Białołęka. The plans anticipate the construction of a 7-story building with 67 flats with usable areas of 36 - 72 sqm. The design of the investment, which is to be finalized in the 4th quarter of next year, has been prepared by Ostrołęka based office Esplan. ■

Termoprojekt preparing documentation for residential-service complex with 110 flats in Międzyzdroje. Poznań based office Termoprojekt has won a tender for the development of documentation for the development
of land plots on Norwida Street in Międzyzdroje (Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship). The value of the contract, ordered by Międzyzdrojskie Towarzystwo Budownictwa Społecznego (Międzyzdroje Social Building Association), will amount to 118,000 PLN gross. The investment comprises the construction, by 2015, of
a complex with 80 flats in multi-family building development, as well as 30 shopping-service premises. Architectural works are to be finalized by 15th September. ■

Stalprzem and Polbud will erect, for 8.4 million PLN, buildings in Stalowa Wola and Rzeszów. The authorities of Stalowa Wola (Podkarpackie Voivodship) will order
a contract worth 3.8 million PLN gross to Stalprzem regarding general contracting of a multi-family building with 40 flats on Orzeszkowej Street. Works on the building with a net area of 2,100 sqm and cubature of 9,200 meters3, the documentation of which had been prepared by Marek Gierulski from Zakład Projektowo-Technologiczny, are to be finalized by 30th October of next year.

Meanwhile, the Rzeszów City Office has entrusted the company Polbud with construction of a sports hall with an area of 2,000 sqm at the IV High School on Dąbrowskiego Street. The construction works, worth 4.8 million PLN gross, are to last until the end of July 2010. ■

HOTELS AND ENTERTAINMENT CENTERS

VG Development is preparing construction of 40,000-sqm hotel-conference complex in Warsaw.
VG Development is holding preparations for the development of a land plot on 47 Sowińskiego street in Warsaw. The investor is planning to build a hotel-conference complex with an apartment section with a total area of approx. 40,000 sqm. The developer is cooperatating with several architectural offices who are preparing the concept of the investment. ■

Tebodin is going to be project manager for hotel complex of Louvre and Warimpex in Wrocław. Last week, Tebodin SAP-Projekt signed a contract with Louvre Hotels, Starwood Capital group and Warimpex concerning the function of project manager for a hotel complex with approx. 290 rooms, planned in the area of Ślężna, Borowska and Gliniana streets in Wrocław. As we have informed, the complex will be comprised of hotels of the Campanile (three-star, 135 rooms) and Premiere Classe (two-star, 156 rooms) chains. ■

Sea Development, in cooperation with Mavex, will build hotel with 78 apartments in Kołobrzeg. Kutno based company Mavex has begun, as general contractor, works on the construction of a four-star apart-hotel “Baltic Plaza” at 64 Wylotowa Street in Kołobrzeg (Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship). The investor of the project, which will comprise the construction of a hotel with 78 apartments with usable areas of 36 - 64 sqm, is Sea Development, owned by the company Intelprojekt. Documentation of the investment, which is to be finalized in the 4th quarter of next year, has been prepared by Łódź based office Formart. ■

Gostynin commune seeks contractor and investor for 4-star hotel with 200 rooms and recreation complex. The authorities of Gostynin (Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship) have issued a tender for the issuing of license for the design and construction of the Central Park of Recreation, Balneology and Tourism “Termy Gostynińskie”.

The complex with an area of approx. 30,000 sqm will be comprised of a 4-star hotel with 200 rooms, along with
a conference center, and a multi-functional building including an aqua park, cinema, beauty parlors and restaurants. The cost of the investment, which will be situated on a land plot with an area of approx. 20 hectares, is estimated at 62.8 million EUR gross (287 million PLN). Applications concerning admission to tender are to be submitted by 23rd June. ■

Nałęczów authorities are planning construction, for 80 million PLN, of hotel with recreation complex. The authorities of Nałęczów will soon issue a tender for co-investor for the construction, in public-private partnership system, of a hotel and aqua park. The cost of building the complex, under the working name “Park Wodny-Termy Nałęczowskie EUROSPA 2012”, is estimated at 80 million PLN.

The plans anticipate the construction of a water park with swimming pools with an area of over 1,800 sqm, as well as a hotel with 100 rooms. The city authorities have
a chance of acquiring funds for the investment from the European Fund for Regional Development. ■

Oświęcim authorities seek architect for extension of Hotel Olimpijski. 5th May is the deadline for submitting offers regarding the development of a design for the extension of Hotel Olimpijski on Chemików Street in Oświęcim (Małopolskie Voivodship). The first stage is to comprise the extension of the existing hotel with an area of 1,100 sqm up to 1,800 sqm and construction of another building with an area of 2,000 sqm. Documentation is to be ready by 30th September of this year.

The functional concept, prepared by Krakow based office APA '91, also anticipates the construction of a third wing of the hotel with an area of 2,000 sqm; however, it is not the subject of the current tender. ■

Poznań University of Economics seeks contractor for modernization of 4,400 -sqm students' hotel. 29th May is the deadline for submitting offers, along with a deposit of 100,000 PLN, for the modernization of the “Atol” Students' House on Andrzejewskiego Street in Poznań. The works will include changing all systems in the building. Design documentation for the 5-story building with an area of 4,400 sqm and cubature of 13,000 meters3 has been prepared by Poznań based office Castor. The works are to take 12 months. ■

Krakow authorities issue tender for concessionaire of sports-performance hall with cubature of 614,000 m3. Until 15th June, the City of Krakow will be collecting applications concerning admission to tender (deposit 1 million PLN) concerning the issuing of license for the construction of the Czyżyny sports-performance hall, as well as the design and construction of a hotel in the area of junction of Pokoju Av. and the planned Stanisława Lema Street. The hall, the documentation of which has been prepared by the consortium of Perbo Projekt and Modern Construction Systems, is going to have a net area of 79,500 sqm (cubature of 614,000 meters3) and will hold a sports arena with an area of 5,500 sqm and seats for 15,000 spectators. The cost of the investment is estimated at 350-400 million PLN net. The criteria for issuing the license are going to be the time frame for realization of the investment and the license duration. ■

Creoprojekt will prepare, for 269,000 PLN, design for modernization of students' hotels in Wrocław. Authorities of Medical Academy in Wrocław have hired Wrocław based office Creoprojekt to prepare
a modernization design of “Bliźniak” and “Jubilatka” students' hotels on Wojciecha z Brudzewa Street. Documentation of the buildings with a total area of 9,600 sqm and cubature of 43,000 meters3 is to be ready within
a period of 6 months. ■

Revalorization works worth over 65.7 million PLN will be carried out in Zamość. Zamość authorities have obtained a subsidy of 40 million PLN for the reconstruction of six out of seven historical bastions, reconstruction of an amphitheater and revalorization of the City Park.

The money will be provided by the Polish Tourism Organization (Polska Organizacja Turystyczna). The total cost of the investment will amount to over 65 million PLN. An architectural design is being prepared by the consortium of Szczecin based offices Redan and Metropolis. Contracting tenders should be issued at the end of 2nd quarter of this year. ■

Toagi makes lowest offer for designing museum in Biała Podlaska. Two offers have been submitted in a tender for the revitalization design of the Radziwiłłów palace complex in Biała Podlaska (Lubelskie Voivodship) for the purposes of the European Center of Icons. The lower offer, with the price of approx. 338,000 PLN, has been presented by Białystok based company Toagi. Meanwhile, Biała Podlaska based Arkada APA Antonowicz is demanding over 1.2 million PLN for the realization of the order.

The investment will comprise the modernization, in the area of Warszawska Street, of seven buildings with a total area of over 4,000 sqm. Documentation of the investment, the total cost of which has been estimated at 34 million PLN, is to be prepared by 30th June. ■

Mitex will build Regional Recreation Center in Bolesławiec for over 19 million PLN. On 28th April, Eiffage Budownictwo Mitex signed a contract for the design and general contracting of the Regional Recreation Center in Bolesławiec (Dolnośląskie Voivodship). According to the contract worth over 19 million PLN gross, the company is going to erect a 2-story building with an area of 5,500 sqm, including a sports swimming pool, recreation pool and wading pool, as well as a complex of saunas and fitness premises. Development of the documentation is to take 3 months, and the construction works will take 20 months. ■

Concert hall worth approx. 25 million PLN is to be built in Bielsko-Biała. 3rd June is the deadline for submitting offers with a deposit of 200,000 PLN in a tender for the construction of a concert hall on Wyspiańskiego Street in Bielsko-Biała (Śląskie Voivodship). The design of the building for the purposes of the Stanisław Moniuszko State Music School of the 1st and 2nd degree has been prepared by the cooperating Warsaw based companies Arpes and Studio “Architekt” Juliusz Marcinowski. The investment worth 25 million PLN will be co-financed from European Union funds. Works on the building with an area of over 6,000 sqm will take 14 months. ■

L. Rydygier Hospital in Krakow seeks substitute investor for medical building with area of 5,100 sqm. Until 21st May, L. Rydygier Voivodship Specialist Hospital in Krakow will be collecting offers with a deposit of 56,000 PLN regarding the function of substitute investor on the construction of the Radiotherapy Center on Złotej Jesieni Street. The investment, designed by the OTS-IP architectural office, will comprise the construction of
a 3-story building with an area of 5,100 sqm and cubature of 20,400 meters3. The estimated cost of the investment, the completion of which is to take 22 months, will amount to 60 million PLN, out of which approx. 32 million PLN will be consumed by the construction-installation works. ■

Katowice authorities seek architect for medical building with area of 6,000 sqm. Katowice City Office has issued
a tender for the development of documentation for extension and modernization of Murcki City Hospital on Sokołowskiego Street. The investment comprises the construction of a building with a usable area of 6,000 sqm and cubature of 25,200 meters3, holding a reception area, internal diseases ward and a surgery ward with intensive care section. The existing surgery ward building will also be modernized. Offers, along with a deposit of 61,000 PLN, will be collected until 26th May. Architectural works, the value of which is estimated at 3.3 million PLN gross, are to take 10 months. ■

Perbo-Projekt will develop, for 2.4 million PLN, design of sledding track in Krynica-Zdrój. Krakow based company Perbo-Projekt has acquired a contract from the authorities of Krynica-Zdrój (Małopolskie Voivodship) concerning the development of design for a 1.7 km long sledding and bobsleigh track along with accompanying infrastructure on Parkowa Mountain. Works on the investment worth 70 million PLN should begin this year. ■

Sports complex in Pruszków will be extended for approx. 20 million PLN. In the next few weeks, the authorities of Pruszków (Mazowieckie Voivodship) are planning to choose a general contractor of the extension of Znicz stadium on Bohaterów Warszawy Street, worth
20 million PLN. The investment, designed by the Architekt Radosław Guzowski office, will include the construction of a stand with two thousand seats and sanitary facilities as well as a training sports ground and parking lot for
400 vehicles. The construction works should be finalized in 2011. ■

Dawidczyk&Partnerzy will prepare, for 500,000 PLN, design for modernization of mansion in Brochów. Fryderyk Chopin National Institute has entrusted the “Dawidczyk&Partnerzy” architectural office from Kobyłka near Warsaw with the development, for 500,000 PLN, of
a design for the reconstruction of the 19th century mansion in the park in Brochów (Mazowieckie Voivodship). Another candidate for the contract was the company “APE” Projektowanie I Wykonawstwo Budowlane, who offered to carry out the contract for 585,000 PLN. ■

MWOPR is planning construction, for app. 10 million PLN, of training-sports complex in Giżycko. Mazury Voluntary Water Emergency Services (MWOPR) has obtained permission from the Giżycko commune authorities (Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodship) for the development of Grajewska Kępa island with an area of
3.5 hectares, situated on Niegocin Lake. MWOPR is planning to build there, for 10 million PLN, a harbor with a training center, sanitary facilities, shelter and helicopter landing ground.■

Creative Future and Budpol will build sports halls in Świętokrzyskie Voivodship. Masłów commune authorities have hired Daleszyce based company Creative Future to build a sports hall with an area of 2,100 sqm at the Schools Complex in Masłów Pierwszy (Świętokrzykie Voivodship). Design documentation of the building has been prepared by Krakow based architectural office “Archikon”. The investment is to be finalized by 30th June 2011.

In the past few days it was also announced that a hall with an area of 1,400 sqm will be built on Przypkowskiego Street in Jędrzejów in Świętokrzyskie Voivodship. The contract worth 4.8 million PLN net, concerning general contracting of the hall, has been ordered to a consortium established by Bydgoszcz based Budpol and Świętokrzyskie Centrum Inwestycyjne. ■

Geopark Kielce seeks contractor for modernization of amphitheater with area of 2,800 sqm. 14th May is the deadline for submitting offers with a deposit of 300,000 PLN concerning the modernization of the “Kadzielnia” amphitheater in Kielce. The works will comprise the modernization of the stage and auditorium as well as rebuilding the road system and area development.

Design documentation of the investment has been prepared by Krakow based architectural office “Asymetria”. The contract engineer is Kielce based company Eko Inwest. The works should be finalized by 31st May 2010. ■

Esbud and Budostal-2 will erect sports buildings for over 10 million PLN in Opolskie Voivodship. The authorities of Kluczbork (Opolskie Voivodship) have chosen the offer (4.5 million PLN net) from the company Esbud in a tender for the contracting of a sports hall with an area of 1,600 sqm. The design of the investment has been prepared by Opole based office Delta. Other participants of the tender were Wrobis (4.79 million PLN), Polbau (4.72 million PLN), Rekonsbud (4.81 million PLN), consortium of IXO Serwis and Techbud (5.34 million PLN) and the Italian company Omicron's.

Meanwhile a complex of swimming pools and accompanying facilities in Kluczbork (Opolskie Voivodship) will be modernized for over 5.7 million PLN net. The general contracting of the investment, designed by Gliwice based Pracownia Architektoniczna A3, has been ordered to Budostal-2. ■

Dobrzyń authorities seek contractor for sports hall with area of 2,800 sqm. 18th May is the deadline for submitting offers, along with a deposit of 200,000 PLN, concerning the construction of a sports hall with an area of 2,800 sqm and cubature of 18,500 meters3 in Dobrzyń on River Vistula (Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodship). Design documentation of the building planned on Licealna Street has been prepared by Płock based architecutral office Mapro. The investment is to be finalized in the middle of this November. ■

Radom authorities issue tender for construction of sports hall with area of 2,700 sqm. 15th May is the deadline for submitting offers with a deposit of 150,000 PLN regarding the construction of a sports hall on Kościuszki St. in Radom (Mazowieckie Voivodship) for the purposes of the Building Schools Complex. Design documentation of the building with an area of 2,700 sqm and cubature of 22,300 meters3 has been prepared by Małgorzata Szkutnik-Kijak. The works should be finalized by 28th October 2010. ■

Chemobudowa will erect, for 8 million PLN, sports hall in Mszana Dolna. The authorities of Mszana Dolna commune (Małopolskie Voivodship) will order a contract worth 8 million PLN gross, concerning general contracting of a sports hall, to Chemobudowa Kraków. The investment, situated at the City Schools Complex, will comprise the construction of a building with a usable area of approx. 2,300 sqm by 31st March 2011. ■

Wabud and Weno will build sports hall in Choszczno for 6 million PLN. District Starost's Office in Choszczno (Zachodniopomorskie Voivodship) has ordered a contract worth 6 million PLN gross, concerning general contracting of a sports hall at the Schools Complex No. 2 on Kosciuszki Street, to the consortium of companies Wabud and Weno. The investment, the documentation of which has been prepared by Mirosław Pacek's office MP Project, will comprise the construction of a hall with a building development area of 1,800 sqm and cubature of 18,200 meters3. ■

Nowy Dwór Maz. commune seeks architect and contractor for gymnastics hall with area of 1,800 sqm. 14th May is the deadline for submitting offers with
a deposit of 15,500 sqm, regarding the development of
a design and construction of a sports hall on Gen. Bema Street in Modlin (Mazowieckie Voivodship). A functional concept for the hall with an area of 1,800 sqm and cubature of 10,600 meters3 has been prepared by Jan Wieczorek from the Department of Planning and Investments of the Nowy Dwór Maz. Municipality. The construction is to be finalized within a period of 2 years. ■

Investprojekt-Partner 6 will prepare for 140,000 PLN design for modernization of Stary Theater in Lublin. Lublin based architectural office Investprojekt-Partner 6 has received, in sole-source negotiations, an order for the updating of architectural documentation for the modernization of Stary Theater on Jezuicka St. in Lublin. The study will include designs of new equipment for the main stage, land plot development and updating the existing construction documentation for the building with an area of 1,500 sqm. ■

INFRASTRUCTURE INVESTMENTS

Budimex and Mostostal Warszawa will build, for 1.5 billion PLN, Pyrzowice-Piekary section of A1 motorway. The offer by the consortium of Budimex Dromex (leader) and Mostostal Warszawa (partner) has been chosen by the Katowice Division of the General Management of National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) in a limited tender for the construction of the Pyrzowice-Piekary Śląskie section of A1 motorway. Approx. 16 km of the road are to be built for 1.5 billion PLN net within a period of 29 months. ■

Egis and Strabag will modernize, for 233 million PLN, A4 motorway Wrocław-Sośnica. The consortium of companies Egis Projects and Strabag has acquired
a contract worth 233 million PLN gross in a tender regarding the design and construction of an adaptation of A4 motorway to meet standards required of a paid motorway. The investment, conducted by the General Management of National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA), will comprise the modernization of an 87 km long section between Wrocław and Sośnica. Completion of the contract will take 60 months. ■

Schuessler-Plan will design, for 4.3 million PLN, extension of National Road (DK) No. 74. Schüessler-Plan Inżynierzy office has made the lowest offer, with the price of 4.25 million PLN gross, in a tender for the development of a design for the extension of National Road (DK) No. 74 to meet parameters of a dual carriageway between the Kostomłoty junction (intersection with S7) and Kielce junction (intersection with DK 73).

Other participants of the tender, supervised by the Kielce Division of the General Management of National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA), are: WBP Zabrze with the price of 4.3 million PLN, WYG International
(4.3 million PLN), Sudop Praha (5.4 million PLN), Jacobs Polska (6.8 million PLN), KV Consultores de Ingeniera (6.8 million PLN), Egis (8 million PLN), Arcadis
(8 million PLN) and DHV Polska (8.9 million PLN). Development of the documentation will take 30 months. ■

DEVELOPERS AND CONTRACTORS

Mostostal-Export will carry out infrastructure works in area of Moscow for approx. 68 mln PLN. Mostostal Export has signed a contract with the Zao Megapolis-Telekom for the realization of the telecommunication network in the Moscow District (Russian Federation). The works on the contract, worth 15 mln euro (approx. 68 mln PLN), will begin in the third quarter of this year. ■

VARIOUS NEWS

Revitalization of church outlets will be carried out in Bytom for approx. 48 mln PLN. Saint Jacek Parish in Bytom is conducting preparations for the revitalizations of historic church buildings on Matejki Street. The total cost of the investment is estimated at 48 mln PLN. The parish is trying to obtain EU financing of over 40 mln PLN. The design of the enterprise has received a positive qualification for the I Priority Culture and Cultural Heritage of the “Infrastructure and Environment” Operational Program. ■
