Geophysical properties of rocks that are used as a basis for geophysical mapping
methods include:
1. the combination of radiometric isotopes (U, K and Th)
2. rock density (= gravity) anomalies and magnetic anomalies
3. water content
4. mineral composition (e.g., Ores)
5. electric conductivity and chargeability
Note that groundwater, oil and gas are not rock properties. However they
can tell us something about rock properties in their surroundings.
