Functional Anatomy Testing Tape Specification

Confirmation Testing



Patient position: prone.



Flex the knee to 20-30 degrees
(optional: support on pillow)



Apply the base of the tape to the
lateral femoral condyle.



Peel the Kinesio Tex from the paper
liner and place the tape temporarily
on the skin. Do not activate the glue
by rubbing.



Externally rotate the lower leg.
Stabilize the base of the tape and pull
laterally to increase tissue tension.



Apply the superior “y” tail to the
medial tibial condyle, passing through
the popliteal fossa.



Extend the lower leg. Stabilize the
base of the tape and pull laterally and
superiorly to increase tissue tension.



Apply the inferior “y” tail to the pes
anserinus.
