Confirmation Testing



Patient position: standing or seated



The shoulder is in the neutral position
with the elbow flexed to 90 degrees
and the arm held against the stomach
in internal rotation.



Apply the superior “y” tail to the base
of the spine of the scapula at the
medial border.



Apply the inferior “y” tail to the inferior
angle of the scapula.



Peel the Kinesio Tex from the paper
liner and place the tape temporarily
on the skin. Do not activate the glue
by rubbing.



Place your hand along the medial
scapular border and pull the skin
medially to increase tissue tension.



Apply the base of the tape to the
greater tuberosity of the humerus.
