Tape Specification

KT Method



Patient position: supine with the
affected knee extended.



Place the point of the “V“ over the
painful area of the knee.



Flex the knee joint to 90 degrees.



Stabilize the “V” of the Kinesio Tex
and apply the inferior tail of the tape
with light (25%) available tension
along the lateral patellar border. Apply
the end of the Kinesio Tex with no
tension.



Stabilize the “V” of the Kinesio Tex
and apply the superior tail of the tape
with light (25%) available tension
along the superior patellar border.
Apply the end of the Kinesio Tex with
no tension.
