Tape Specification KT Method Confirmation Testing

Patient position: seated, with the elbow flexed
to 90 degrees and shoulder abducted to 90
degrees in neutral rotation (palm facing
downward and parallel to the floor). If the
scapular stabilizers are weak, they must be
stabilized by the examiner.

Examiner pressure: against the dorsal
surface of the distal end of the humerus. As
pressure is applied, stabilize the shoulder
girdle proximally from above.
