Dear Erni,
Thanks very much for your letter. Sorry that I haven't written for so long but I was busy at work. I've so much to tell you that I don't know where to begin. The holiday in Portsmouth you invited me to in December sounds lovely.
Unfortunately, I won't able to come because I won't get any day off in December. I have to admit that in December I will be busy at work because I'll finish a very important project. Moreover, in December Jolanta's parents will have a family party. They'll celebrate a wedding anniversary.
It's such a pity because we haven't seen each other for ages. We must arrange to get together another time instead. Perhaps we'll meet in February. In February I and my family will have a lot of free time. In Poland will be winter holidays. We will see each other so it will be great to get together and catch up with all the news. What do you think about it?
I hope we can get together in February. Thanks for the invitation and hope you will understand my decision. Give my best wishes to your family. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks again and see you on February.
Love,
Adam
Dear Erni,
I hope you're ok. I haven't written for so long as I've been really busy recently. As you know I went to France and I took part in a military training. It was a great idea. I have so much to tell you that I don't know where begin. The course gave me a lot of experiences about electronics intelligence. That's all I can tell you about it as everything else is top secret. The course took place in Bordeaux and lasted four week. In Bordeaux there is a NATO Intelligence Centre. Twenty-five soldiers took part in it. They were people from Germany, the Czech Republic and the US. We stayed in a fantastic four-star hotel. It had great facilities. There was a swimming pool, modern gym, sauna and solarium. So after our classes we had a lot of things to do. I stayed in a single room. There was a cable TV, access to the Internet so I could keep in touch with my family. Furthermore, I meet there my former commanding officer and we went to a restaurant. Unfortunately, my wallet was stolen. Luckily, I didn't have any problems on the border. I have to finish now. Give my best wishes to your family. I look forward to hearing from you.
Take care,
Adam
Dear Erni,
Thanks very much for your letter. Sorry that I haven't written for so long but I have been very busy recently. I have so much to tell you, that I don't know where to begin. You ask me about my friend Monika. Of course I can tell you about her. She's 28 and she's working with me for the chemical company. According to me Monika is responsible, extrovert and she has a lot of friends. I met her at university. In my opinion she's beautiful and she's still single. I know you're crazy about attractive women. She's my personal assistant and she's incredibly hard-working. Monika likes eating out in very good French restaurants. Her favourite food is seafood, especially scrimps with mayo. She loves watching comedies and she hates horrors. She doesn't like being scared. Monika does many exercises, so she's fit and sporty. I have to admit that she has only one negative thing. She's an only child and she's a bit selfish. However, I'm sure it isn't a problem for you. I'm sure you will get on well with her. I have to finish now. I hope that's useful. Let me know if you need more information. Give my best wishes to the family. I look forward to hearing from you.
Take care,
Adam
Dear Erni,
How are you? Sorry that I haven't written for so long but I was busy preparing my retirement party. As you know I finished my work in Air Force and I'm a retired soldier. I've so much to tell you that I don't know where to begin. Let me tell you some details about it. My retirement party took place in a nice restaurant called 'Piekielko, I didn't have any problems with organization because everybody knew where it was. Twenty-five people took part in the party including my commanding officer. I was really surprised because my co-workers gave me a fantastic gift. It was a new model of photo camera made by Canon. The food was delicious, especially the stew and roast chicken. Everybody could find something special. We talked about past time and future, especially about my future. I would like to apply for the position of security of information specialist in a local bank. As a retired soldier who graduated from the Academy of National Defence I'm a good candidate for this position. I know exactly that you are crazy about photos. I think that we can take up taking photos together. I have to admit that I need a new hobby and photography will be the option. I look forward to hearing from you. Give my best wishes to your family.
Take care,
Adam
Dear Erni,
How are you? I hope you feel better. Sorry that I haven't written for so long but I was busy at work. It's such a pity that you couldn't be at our party. I've so much to tell you that I don't know where to begin. Let me tell you some details about it.
Our reunion took place in a great pub in Kielce near Central railway station. It's called `Casablanca'. We didn't have any problems with organization because everybody knew where it was.
The food was delicious, especially the stew and roast chicken. I'll never forget French wine and fresh lasagne. Everybody could find something special.
Twenty-five people took part in the party including your ex-girlfriend Monika. I was really surprised because she is still beautiful and single.
All of us had a drink or two, some people more than two. We talked about past time and future, made jokes and danced a lot. I have to admit that Monika can dance very well, especially Latin dances.
Only one thing was bad. Piotr, who drank too much alcohol was some aggressive. According to me he has a problem with alcohol.
We had a great time and I hope next time you'll be able to join us. We would like to meet at the same place in the winter. Give my best wishes to your family. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Love,
Adam
Dear Erni,
I hope you're ok. It was great to hear from you. I'm writing to accept your kind invitation to the birthday party on July 22nd . It sounds wonderful.
Jolanta and I were really pleased to receive it and we'd love to come. It's lucky for us that you chose the 22nd , actually, as it's the only day off that week that we're free.
It's been such a long time since we have seen each other so it will be great to get together and catch up an all the news.
Can I help you with anything? Maybe I could organizing the music during the party? Every Saturday I work as a DJ in pub called `Bosanova'. I have a modern stereo system and a lot of fantastic tracks, especially Latin and new romantic music. I think that will be the best kind of music for a party.
Please let me know if there is anything I can bring or anything I can do to help.
Thanks again and see you on the 22nd .Give my best wishes to your family.

Jola and Adam
Dear Erni,
How are you keeping? Sorry that I haven't written for so long but I have been very busy recently. I've so much to tell you that I don't know where begin. As you know I'm getting married in six months. So I'm writing to invite you to my wedding reception on 24th May. The wedding reception will take place in Kielce in a great restaurant called 'Rajski Dworek'. The wedding starts at 4 p.m. in St. Paul Church on Staromiejska street, but the reception starts at 6 p.m. and it will last until the last quest leaves. About one hundred people will take part in the reception including children. There will be delicious Italian food and fantastic Latin music. The band can play everything you want, especially sambas, rumbas and tango too. You shouldn't have any trouble finding the church. In case you don't know the way, I'll give you some directions. Take the E-77 to Kielce and turn left on the second traffic lights, drive across the bridge and at the roundabout turn right. You're on Staromiejska street. There is only one church, St. Paul church. Dear Erni,
Thanks very much for your letter. Sorry that I haven't written for so long but I was busy at work. I've so much to tell you that I don't know where to begin. Don't worry too much that you haven't been able to find new job. I'll try to give you some advice what you should do.
First of all, if I were in your position I'd try to find a new job in the local employment agency. According to me in Kielce there is an employment agency which offers a lot of different kinds of job.
Another good idea is to go abroad, for instance to England. I think you should try a temporary job in London or Brighton. There are lots of hotels and big shopping centres. You should search for a job in the field of security. As a retired soldier you have a gun licence and lots of experiences in similar job.
Another way to have a good job is to set up a small business. I know exactly that you can borrow some money from a local employment agency. I think that it is a good solution, because when you set up a business you will be more independent.
I hope that my advice helps. Let me know what happens. Give my best wishes to your family. I look forward to hearing from you.
Love,
Adam
Dear Erni,
Thanks very much for your letter. Sorry that I haven't written for so long but I was busy at work. I've so much to tell you that I don't know where to begin. Don't worry too much. I'll try to give you some advice on how to improve your eating habits and be fit.
First of all, if I were in your position I'd try not eat so much junk food and ready cooked meals. Moreover, you must cut down on sweets and fats. I think that you should remember about a proper diet consists of fish, meat, fruits, vegetables, still water and or two glasses of red wine a day. Your diet must be balanced. Crash diet is the first step to anorexia and it is very unhealthy way to get fit.
Secondly, you should do some exercises three or four times a week. I suggest swimming and joining a gym. Don't go everywhere by car, because your body needs plenty of physical activity. You will lose weight and soon you'll get in shape and feel better.
I'll try to give you some advice on how to improve your English
First of all, if I were in your position I'd a join an English school in your city. According to me in Kielce there are a few good English schools. I suggest joining a `Profi Language School'. This school employs good teachers who speak English very well. You will speak o lot. Speaking is very important skill because many times you meet people who speak only English.
Another good idea is to learn English abroad, especially in England. There are lots of nice professional schools. For example, my son every summer holiday goes to Brighton to the `LTC School'. That way you practise English all the time. You'll learn English fast and comfortable. Unfortunately, it is expensive kind of study.
I have to admit that another way to improve your language is reading different kinds of English magazines and watching a film use subtitles. Your vocabulary will expend.
I hope that my advice helps. Let me know what happens. Give my best wishes to your family. I look forward to hearing from you.

Recently we have been noticing that more and more soldiers are interested in our courses, especially English courses. We need more administration staff because there is lots of office work. The vehicle was locked and the keys were given to the services man. The burglar alarm was turned on. At about 10 a.m. a service man noticed that the side window of vehicle was broken. The Police and duty officer were informed by service man and after 10 minutes they arrived. According to Police the side window was broken with a stone, which was found inside the vehicle.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to complain about how disappointed I am with the quality of stereo system which I bought from your shop last weekend. To begin with, the stereo system was not complete. I could not connect the CD player with the amplifier as the wires were missing. What is more, the stereo is unable to select my favourite radio station called `Radio Zet'. I do not know why. It is the complete opposite of `the best stereo system last year' you describe in your advertisement. Furthermore, the remote control does not work as good as my old one. When I am in front of the stereo it works, when I am next to the stereo it does not work properly. The quality is really poor. I hope that you will be able to replace if for a new one as soon as possible. I think that I will not be forced to take further action. Thanks you for your help in this matter.
Yours faithfully,
Adam Cendrowski
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to complain about how disappointed I am with the poor quality of cabins. I have received when I went an cruise to the Caribbean. To begin with, the cabins were I was accommodated very small. Many of passengers had the same problem. It was the complete opposite of the `large deluxe cabins' you describe in your advertisement. What is more, my cabin was always dirty. The bedclothes were changed every four days. Moreover, one of the most important things for me is my own bathroom. Although you describe in your advertisement `private bathrooms' I had to share it with other passengers. I could not believe my eyes when I saw old towels and disgusting toilet board. Furthermore, the food was awful. Again, is more, it was not a five-star restaurant with gourmet food. It was could and always had to wait for a long time for my dishes. I am very disappointed I would like a full refund for the cost of my cruise. I hope to hear from you regarding this matter as soon as possible.
Yours faithfully,
