Follow the steps 1 to 2.1 and then choose trigger mode External edge.
Configure the Leading and Trailing edge properly to your own requirements.
And set the end of read cycle time to New Trigger.
Install an sensor in the front of the scanner with an ground signal.
The ground signal from the sensor has to be connected to pin 9 on the scanner.
(Ground against + should be 24V, 21V is not sufficient!)
Serial Trigger Mode
You cannot send non-printable from the “Send” line in the Terminal Window. First, click on Terminal > Non-printable Characters > Enhanced Format (slower). Then click in the Blue communications window and press < followed by CTRL+F (displays as ACK) followed by > and the scanners responds. If you want to set the Serial trigger to DC1, you would need to send < CTRL+Q > from ESP.
If you use T or another single character as a serial Trigger command send <T> to the scanner to initiate a read cycle.
Always check that the End of Read Cycle Mode is set to New Trigger. In this case the Read Cycle Timeout has no function!
Only if you want to read for a fix period of time you have to change the End of Read Cycle Mode to Timeout. Now you can change the period time for triggering via this setting-time.
