How to use BMW Rheingold ISTA 3 with ICOM

Connect your vehicle with ICOM

Open LAN Connection properties, choose "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and
open TCP/IPv4 properties. Add IP address 169.254.1.1 for "IP address" and 255.255.0.0
for "Subnet mask".

If you have installed VMware, just run Virtual Network Editor and dissable from HOST all
adapters with Subnet Address 169.254.0.0.

Open C:\EDIABAS\BIN\EDIABAS.INI with notepad and check section TCP "Port
= 6801".

Run BMW Rheingold ISTA 3 and wait while programm starts, then press setup

In opened window choose tab "VCI Config", then select "HO-ICOM/ENET local and ISIS
network"
and press "OK" button.
7. Then select "Identification" tab, after "Read Out Vehicle Data" and press "Start Vehicle Test".
8.
Choose your ICOM from list and press button "Set up connection".
