M.K.B. Vineta in Swinemunde
Thanks to 2 Forummembers from Poland Arek and Akali the old M.K.B. Vineta was
discovered with several bunkers still there an all were from a early Navaltype bunkers
according to the German manuel "Bauten der Küstenbefestgungen" from June 1940 .
The 4 "Mittel" bettungen were build with rooms for personel and ammunution as you
can see the walls are only 1 meter and have a few windows with steel shutters .
The Leitstand is a forrunner of the M 120 type and the batterie had also a
Machinebunker and Auffüllraum . For the guns in the early day were 15 cm S.K.L/45
and after the occupation of Holland the name was reused in Hoek van Holland
During the war the batterie was a part of the Marine-Artillerie-Schule I recieved new
guns with the caliber 4 x 15 cm S.K.C/28 but also recieved also a Wurzburg Riese as
Fu.M.O. art and a WPG . Now a days the batterie is blown-up but some part a still
there to visit

this are really interesting news!
Do you have any pictures or a drawing available from the M 120 forerunner?
I"am very curious to see how this one lokks like. In 1995 I visited a 15cm MKB
north of Memel which is also still equipped with a M 120 forerunner (I actually
don"t remember the topic name, but it was part of a discussion just a few weeks
ago on this forum).
BTW: Very nice threedimensional drawings!
Greetings from Quatar! (I'm just on my way back to good old fortified europe from
a business trip and I can"t wait to see "real"concrete again:-)
What I can add is that original article was published in polish magazine "Forteca".
Unfortunately the whole battery is still under military administration so it's
impossible to visit. Gun shelters are partly demolished by inside explosion of
ammunition storages but still most of them are used by Polish Navy. Only
ammunition magazine is abandonned.
Some photos and drawings:

Here the ammo bunker of M.K.B. Vineta .
The layout looks similar to a M 145.
You are right , just like the the Leitstand is a forrunner for the M 120
