If you do not have a non-marring plastic tool, wrap a slot screwdriver with electrical tape. Be careful not to
damage the interior trim.
1. Apply the emergency brake.
2. Put the vehicle in park or if a manual put in neutral.
3. Disconnect the negative battery terminal with a 10mm wrench.
4. Open the cup holder and remove the two screws with a phillips screwdriver.
5. Remove the HVAC/radio trim. Start at the top near the cup holder and pull out, work your way
towards the left of the trim piece and then work downwards.
6. Remove the six screws holding the radio chassis and pull out the radio until connectors in the back of
the radio can be accessed.
7. Remove the antenna connection.
8. Remove the 14 pin connector. Push down on the detent will pulling out the connector.
9. Remove the ground cable. Push down on the detent will pulling out the connector.
10. Fish the harness for the subwoofer down towards the floor of the vehicle.
11. Pull the cable down and route towards the passenger seat. Tuck the cable under the center console.
12. Pull the harness down between the center console and the seat. View in step 12 is looking at the cable
from under the seat.
13. Connect the 14-pin connector of the Subwoofer harness to the vehicle connector.
14. Remove the screw on the side of the radio. Save it, it will be used later.
15. Connect the 14-pin connector of the subwoofer to the radio.
16. Connect the antenna cable.
17. Connect the ground cable.
18. Secure the ground cable of the Subwoofer harness onto the chassis of the radio bracket.
19. Install the radio and use the six screws previously removed.
20. Install the cupholder and fasten using the two screws previously removed.
21. Install the HVAC/radio trim.
22. Remove the two screws as indicated in the picture using a phillips screwdriver. Note orientation of
unit and screws being removed.
23. Fasten bracket to Subwoofer using screws and washers provided in kit. Note orientation of unit and
screws and bracket being installed. Apply double sided tape in locations shown .
24. Remove trim cover from seat track on rear passenger side.
25. Remove bolt and washers using a 14mm wrench. Note sequence of washers when removed.
26. Ensure that there is enough wire to attach to the subwoofer as shown.
27. Connect the harness to the subwoofer.
28. Lay the subwoofer down on the carpet and position bracket up against the seat track so it does on
move. Install the bolt and washers in the proper sequence. Push the unit down into the carpet so the
double sided tape engages the carpet. Torque the 14 mm bolt to 38 +/- 7 ft.-lb 52 +/-10 Nm.
29. Trim the cover so that it does not interfere with the Subwoofer bracket.
30. Install the trim cover.
31. Re-connect the negative battery terminal.
