Application
The PR-28 transmitter is designed to measure differen-
tial pressures of gases, vapours and liquids.
Design
The measurement element is a piezoresistive silicon
sensor separated from the medium by isolating dia-
phragms and a selected type of manometric liquid. The
housing of the circuit is IP 65 or IP 67 rated depending
on the type of Electrical Connector used.
Calibration
Potentiometers can be used to shift the zero position and
the range by up to ±10%, without altering the settings.
Assembly
In view of its small mass, the transmitter can be
mounted directly on the pressure system. An M6×7
threaded hole can be used for mounting. We suggest the
use of a pre-assembled Aplisens unit to mount it any-
where on a

25 pipe.
The use of 3- or 5-valve manifold enables the transmitter
to be reset in place and impulse lines to be used (air and
water removal).
Measurements in hazardous areas
The PR-28 transmitter is spark-proof and is Exi

I/IICT6
rated (under KDB decision no. 98.458W).
The installation of the transmitter in a hazard zone re-
quires the use of a spark-proof power supply and meas-
urement circuit certified as fulfilling the following condi-

ATTENTION: It is dangerous to measure differential pressure where the static pressure is higher than the transmitter’s
overpressure limit. In this case we recommend the use of Aplisens APR-2000 or PR-54 transmitters, which are resistant
to overloading by full static pressure of 4 MPa.
