EDUARD NEWS IN APRIL 2010

13th April 2010

We have a

profile on Facebook

. Nothing special, there are tons of similar profiles on there, but what is necessary

to know is that this is really our profile. There was a profile created across as ours, but it was a cuckoo’s baby.
We have been planning to initiate a page on Facebook longer time, but we didn’t expect someone can do it for
us. Well, apparently we are just too slow. We need to be faster, in all cases, not only with a

Facebook profile

.

We have the re-tooled canopy. You know, the one for the Emil, dash four. It took a while, but no one was going
to do it for us. It will be available for shipping around mid month. Conditions of replacement will be posted here,
and retailers will be able to get them from us with their April orders.

APRIL KITS

Besides the new, wider, canopy, there is also a new 1/32nd scale Bf 109E-7 Trop. Initially, we figured that our
tropical version would be called the E-4/E-7, but it appears that all Bf 109Es that served in North Africa were in
the E-7 guise. I have no doubt that this constitution will be thrown into doubt by someone somewhere, so I will
put it another way. All five options supplied with our tropical version are for E-7s.

Another Messerschmitt will be released in April, the Bf 110G-4 as a Weekend Edition boxing. It’s the most
expensive Weekend kit to date, but given the contents of the kit, the value is still there.

In the Limited Edition line we are offering a real treat. A central European treat, to be exact. The Fokker D.VII
(MAG)
is an exceptional model, in both content and engineering. Also exceptional are the amount of marking
options included, over half of which includes several incarnations of the same aircraft in the Czechoslovakian air
force. We anticipate that this kit will be very attractive for First World War aircraft buffs, and given the amount of
marking options available for the type, we decided to release this kit as Dual Combo packing. There is just one
lozenge decal included for two reasons: first off, its an attempt to keep the cost of the kit down, and second,
there is no intense need for the pattern in the offered aircraft. Those that do want to MAGs with the pattern, they
certainly have the option of purchasing a second set from us.

Kits in the Limited Edition line tend to sell out very quickly, usually within a few weeks, sometimes a few days.
The Su-7 is still in stock to the tune of some one hundred. We have been asked on a number of occasions if the
seat for the Su-7, in the Brassin Line, will be available separately, and the answer is, quite possibly. It will
depend on the availability of the kit. As you may or may not know, the KP forms have been sold to a firm in
Hungary, but I suspect that the new owners will be producing them….what else would they do with them, no? So
if that’s the case, our seat will be offered separately, and the same goes for the Su-22 and Su-25.

KITS IN MAY

In May, we will offer the Fw 190D-11/D-13, along with two Weekend kits. the Albatros D.V and the F6F-3
Hellcat
. All in 1/48th, and the Dora will be as a Dual Combo offering.

PHOTOETCHED IN APRIL

April photoetched predominantly fall under the 1/32nd scale category crowned off by three offerings for the
Tamiya Spitfire Mk.IX. There will be other offerings in May, because we divided the photoetching for the Spitfire
into two sections, and we will be releasing early and late versions separately. I would also like to draw your
attention to the Eurofoghter. The singleseat version are for the Revell kit, and the twoseater for Trumpeter. That
order will reverse in time. There is also a smattering of 1/72nd scale sets, such as that covering the Nimrod,
which is itself very interesting.

PHOTOETCHED IN MAY

In May, we will see a predominance of 1/48th scale sets. It will include some fourteen sets, including Zooms, to
cover the B-24D from Monogram, E-2C Hawkeye from Kinetic, F-15E from Academy, Fw 190D-9 from Eduard.
Significant etches for significant kits. Hopefully, no one will complain of us being slow. May won’t see just 1/48th
scale offerings. Again, the crowning glory may well be further sets for the Tamiya Spit, and for some,
Trumpeter’s Graff Spee.

BRASSIN FOR APRIL AND MAY

In March, we lost a piece of equipment pushing some April releases to May. One of them is the seat for the F-4
Phantom II, and, being a very nice set, I think this will still be very well received. I am sure it will be just as nice in
May. In the meantime, you can wet your whistle on the exhaust of the F-16, showing off what can be expected in
the future from this line. You’ll see that our potential is far from exhausted. Over the summer, we’ll be acquiring a
new machine, and then we’ll really see something!

Happy Modeling!
