BANKRUPT
1. Print the flashcards so that they have amounts of money on the back.
2. Stick the flashcards on the board or put them in front of the students. Be careful
not to show them the reverse of the cards.
3. Divide the class into two groups.
Students take turns and pick cards.
4.
Students give you the definition of the word on the flashcard.
5. If they say it right, they get the amount of money. If they don’t, the other team
has a chance to answer.
6.
If they get a card that says B
ANKRUPT
, they lose all their points or half their
points (you decide).
7.
If they get a card that says
DONATION
, the team donates their points or half their
points to the other team (you decide).
8.
The team with the biggest amount money at the end wins.
