MAIN ENGINE

DEPARTURE FROM PORT 01. Check oil level in sump tank and start L.O pumps ^*

02. Drain and heat F.O of daily tank, start F.O pumps

03. Start cooling pump and heat cooling water (70-75°C)

04. Engage the turning gear, turning and lubricate

05. Disengage the turning gear

06. Check Aux. Boiler and steam pressure

07. Start stand-by Aux. E and connect, if necessary

08. Check and set manoeuvring gear to service position

09. Drain-off water from starting/control air system

10. Check the cylinder lubricators and cyl. oil level in tank

11. Open the valves necessary for M/E start

12. Check oil level of Turbocharger

13. Set switch for aux. blower in Position “Auto”

14. Switch on the doctrinal equipment in the control console

15. Engine air blow and close indicating cocks

16. Engine test (Ahead, stop , astern)
