01	Ice & weather reports as well as forecasts and recommendations to be studied any ice-breaking service to be taken into account
02	Vessel's ice class, trim and draught to be adequate to estimated ice conditions; steering to be switched to manual
03	Ballast, fire and FW systems to be protected against freezing damage
04	Position fixes to be taken frequently
05	Engine to be provided with relevant information
06	Danger messages to be transmitted, if necessary
07	Radar and echo sounder to be used, search lights to be in operational condition
08	Crew to be informed about possible danger of snow-blindness
09	Monitoring of ice accumulation on deck
10	Tanks and bilges to be sounded frequently and immediately after every heavy impact
11	Vessels with no or little ice class should avoid to give reverse engine manoeuvre
