with my m/t “Dalia” causing some damage to the port side plating.
In this connection I have to hold you and your Owners responsibility for
all consequences which may therefrom.

reject any liability on the part of my ship in connecting with the collision between our vessels.
At the same time I must hold you and your Owners responsible for the
Damage caused to my vessel and I invite you to attend personally or through your representatives the survey of damage which will be
Performed on board my ship today at 1400 hours.

Dear Sirs,
I am sorry to inform you that your claim concerning the accident of
your worker Mr A.T.Dupkins cannot be accepted by us.
The hold ladder, from which Mr A.T. Dupkins fell down into the hold No 3, was in good order and condition. The inner part of the hold as well as the deck were properly lighted.
All these facts were confirmed by the surveyor of our insurer in a special report, which is enclosed letter.
