1/8- Is Socialism compatible with Democracy?
Socialism rules out Democracy so it can’t be compatible. The very ideas that Socialism is based on contracts every idea that Democracy is built on. In a Socialist government everything is publicly or commonly owned, whereas in Democracy all citizens have equal say in the decision making process that affects their lives. Socialist governments are based on production for use and direct allocation of goods produced. Democratic systems are political systems, which means the people determine the political questions and Socialist systems are an economic system, meaning the people own the economic means of production. Given these basic fundamental differences Socialism cannot be compatible with a Democracy. These core differences divide these two systems from ever co-existing with one another.
