Check list for Vessels prior to entering / operating in Gulf of Aden in the International Established Transit Corridor

At this stage requirement in Chapter 2 –Appendix 1 & Chapter 3 Appendix 1 is implemented

4.2.1 - Requirement to be implemented Prior to Arrival a Point Alpha or Point Bravo

1 48 hours before / to 48 hours after the transit corridor positions reports to the company shall be increased to a position report each 4 hours to the company by the duty officer as required in Chapter 8 / 8.7.2
2 Vessel to plan ETA to join convoy or EU GTS in accordance with transit schedule according to Chapter 6 / 6.1 unless other arrangement has been made
3 Daily position reports to UKMTO as required in Chapter 8 / 8.4 including ETA at Point A or Point B and ETD at the end of the corridor as required in Chapter 8 / 8.5
4 Carefully timing of the arrival at Point A or Point B to avoid slow speed prior to arrival at the forming up point.
5 Position reports to UKMTO prior / during the transit of the corridor to be increased to a report a report each 4 hours as required in Chapter 8 / 8.7.2, to be started 4 hours before entering the corridor.

AIS On / Off:

If the AIS has been switch off during operation outside Gulf of Aden is is recommended by the Navy to switch on the AIS prior to arrival at Point A or Point B during the transit according to Chapter 5 / 5.4

7 No work outside the accommodation during the passage of Gulf of Aden, unless essential

4.2.4 - In Case of a Suspicious Events within International Established Transit Corridor
