“Out at..means bring the needle from the back of the work through to the front. “In at...” means take the needle from the right side of the work through to the back. Suggested colours: antiąue gold thread on white card.

Trec
Section 1.
Out at A in atB.
Out at C in at D.
Out at E in at F. Continue this seąuencc until section 1 is complete using the finished diagram as a guide. Stitch the other trec sections in a similar way.
Branches and trunk. Stitch the branches and trunk using the diagram as a guide.
Bridge.
Arch.
Work the arch in backstitch using the diagram as a guide.
Top and base.
Stitch the bridge top and base using the diagram as a guide.
Barge.
Bow fender.
Out at G in at H.
Out at I in at J.
Out at K in at L. Continue this sequcnce untii the fender is complete using the finished diagram as a guide.
Hull.
Work the hull and water linę in stem stitch using the diagram as a guide.
Cabin.
Stitch the cabin walls, Windows and door using the diagram as a guide.
Reflection.
Stitch the reflection in a similar way to the barge using the diagram as a guide.
Canal bank.
Stitch the canal bank using the diagram as a guide.
