Fly Away
1 sheet of 9* x 12* cotored construction paper.
cut in two pieces, one with egg outline white tempera paint and paintbrush chenille chick or chick sticker glue
For each child, cut two rectangles from a sheet of construction paper. Make one rectangle 4'/s* x 12* and the other 4'fc* x 10’ Use the patiem on page 91 to draw a large egg on the longer piece of construction paper Have scissors ready.
1 tagboard bird body and 2 tagboard wings
2 wiggie eyes
1 brass fastener
2 feathers
a length oł narrow nbbon tempera pamts and paintbrushes glue
Use tbe pattern on the opposite page to cut out a tagboard bird body and two wings for each chiid. Have tape ready.
t. Paint some patterns on one s«de of the bird body and wings. Altów to dry. then pamt the other sides. Alk>w to dry.
2. Glue feathers on the bird to make a tali.
3. Glue on wiggie eyes.
•4. Place a wmg on each side of the body and push a brass fastener through to secure. O 5- Tape a piece of ribbon to the bird s back to hang it up. O
1. Paint the egg white.
■£. Fold back each end of the paper wrth the egg pamtmg to make a tlap about 1* wide O ■3. Cut the egg in half in a zigzag O *4. Glue a chenille chick or sticker in the midóle of the smaller piece of construction paper.
