Materials For Each CMId-1 sheet of 12' x 18’ posterboard smali shells. twigs, and pebbles tempera pamts in various colors. mixed with play sand paintbrushes

Pour white play sand into tubs of tempera paint and mix together

PJrectfohg:

1.    Use the thick sand and paint mix to paint a summer scene onto a sheet of posterboard.

2.    Press shells. twigs. and pebbles on the Picture before the paint dries

Palm Tree

Materials for Fach Chłld:

1 cardboard tubę

1 piece ot green construction paper, about 4' taller than the tubę with a fringe cut unsalted peanuts or hazelnuts in the Shell colored markers or tempera paints paintbrushes and gtue

Class Preparatlong:

Cut a fringe approximately 4' long on one s«de of each child s sheet of green construction paper

Pirec+fong:

1. Use markers or paints to decorate the tubę to look like the trunk of a coconut tree.

2.. Roli the green construction paper up tightly and push into the tubę so the fringe sticks out of the tubę. O

3. Curl the paper back to look like palm fronds. •4. Glue nuts onto the top of the trunk to look like cocoouts.
