Figurę 3
Continue beading row one following the graph. Upon completing the last square of row one (figurę 4), take the needle through the upper horizontal bead. Thread the three beads of the first square of the second row and once morę take the needle back through the upper horizontal bead of the last square of row one and the left vertical bead of the new square. Turn the work around and begin again from right to left.
Continue beading the rows as indicaled on the graph. Be careful not to miss any squares or the work will not lie fiat and the beadwork will be skewed.
To bead the triangular front portion, begin on the bottom left corner of graph two on page 35 and work from left to right. Reduce as indicated.
To decrease at a side. After picking up the two beads of the last square of the row, take the working thread down through the right verlical bead of the previous square, the lower horizontal bead, the left vertical and the upper horizontal bead of that same previous square. (figurę 6). Begin beading the new row. Following the graph, com-plete beading the triangular front portion.

Figurę 6
From now on, only the first square of each row will require three beads. Subsequent squares will require only two new beads (figurę 5). Each new square will be formed from the two new beads plus the upper horizontal bead of the previous row and the closest vertical bead of the last square of the current row.
Attach the triangle to the square. Turn the square on the diagonal and lay the triangle over the top of the square, following the faint gray outline on graph one. Using large stitches placed 1 /2 inch from the edge, tem-porarily sew the triangle in place. To permanently secure the triangle, choose a bead two or three beads from the edge and attach it to a bead of the square. Be surę to thread through the beads, never around the woven threads of the square or the triangle. After the triangle is attached, remove the temporary stitching.
