Figurę A-6a & b
Figurę A-9
To hołd the last bead of row three in place, you will need to do a figurę eight threading pattern (figurę A-6a). Take the needle down and through bead one from left to righl. Pass through bead two and then down through bead three. Reverse direction and take the needle up and through bead 13, again through bead two and down through bead one. Pass the needle around the edge thread and back through bead 14, the last bead of row three. You are now ready to begin row four.
At the end of row four and all even numbered rows, the turn will be the same as in even-count fiat peyote and will not require any adjustment (figurę A-6b). Upon reaching the end of row five and all subsequent odd-numbered rows, pick up the last bead of row five and take the needle down to the edge thread between rows one and three. Do a half-hitch around the edge thread and then pass back through the last bead of row five (figurę A-7). Repeat rows three and four until you're com-fortable with the stitch.
Used in Projects Two and Seven
To decrease at the sides in odd-count fiat peyote stitch, sknply stop one bead short at the end of the row. In order to avoid threads looping around the outside beads, do a half-hitch as in figurę A-8 and continue beading the row. As > o u return, you will be doing an even-count peyote stitch.
Upon reaching the other side, half-hitch around a woven thread between beads A and B as shown in figurę A-9. Continue rcducing in this same manner until only a single bead is left. Zig-zag down through the beadwork and clip.
