2. Measurements for women

Copy the list below and enter the measurements against each dimension. Measure the vertical distances on the side of the body, except the Back length which is measured down the spine.

The second bust measurement is taken under the breasts, and used for morę fitted kirtles.

The dotted lines show the positions of the armholes on a Błock. The upper end, above the bali joint of the shoulder, is the starting point for measuring the Long arm length for the Błock sleeve. For sleeves of garments not planned from a Błock, measure the Arm length from the tip of the shoulder.

The Body rise measurement is needed only for fitted braies; take it while the subject is seated on a hard fiat surface.
