Shown on 150 cm wide fabric folded lengthways. The flounce is 10-25 cm deep: subtract this from the Waist to floor length to give the skirt length. Make the total hem of the skirt 2 to 2.5 m, and the flounce 11/4 to 11/2 times the hem. Cut the flounces and Front on the fold. The top edge of the skirt pieces combined should be 20-50 cm wider than the total waist edge of the bodice; morę width will make the skirt too bulky. For making up see p. 86.
