Therapy for the trapezius, transverse part.



Starting Position: P: Lying on left side; right shoulder flexed approximately 90°. T: Standing. left side against P's chest and abdomen.

Grip: T's left hand grips P's scapula dorsally and along the medial border. T’s right hand grips P's upper arm.

Procedurę: Using this grip, T gradually and maximally pushes in a lateral and ventral direction against Ps scapula.

Sdmulation of Antagonists: T retains right-hand grip. T then asks P to move further in the direction of stretching, and resists that movement to stimulate P’s antagonists.
