Therapy for the extensors, adductors and lateral rotators.



StartingPosition: P: Supine; leftthigh stabilized with a belt; (a belt over P's pelvis provides additional stabilization); right hip and knee flexed. T: Standingat P’s right side, level with P’sknee.

Grip: T’s left hand grips medial side of P’s thigh just above the knee. T’s right hand grips P's lower leg just above the ankle.

Procedurę: Using this grip. T gradually and fully flexes, abducts and medially rotates at P's hip.

Stimulation of Antagonists: T moves right hand to proximal-lateralside of knee. T then asks P to move further in the direction of stretching. and resists that movement with both hands to stimulate P's antagonists.
