8. MODĘ CONTROL : l'his control allows you to scleet one of the following operating modes : CW/FM/AM/USB/LSB.
9. FINE/COARSE CONTROL : Allows \ariation of the reccive operating freÄ…ucncy above or below the assigned freÄ…ueney. Although this control is intended primarily to tune in SSB/CW signals. it may be uscd to optiniizc AM/FM signals as described in the Operating ProcedurÄ™ paragraphs. Coarse operates both TX/RX but Fine only in RX.
10. CHANNEL SELECTOR : This control is uscd to scleet a desired transmit and reecivc channcl.
19. ROGER BEEP : When this switch is placed in the ROGER BEEP position. the radio automatically transmits an audio tonÄ™ at the end of your transmission. This indieates the end of your transmission so tliat people who are having troublc hcaring you will know that you are done speaking. As a oourtesy lo others. usc the Roger Beep only when neccssary.

13. TX/RX LED : The red LED indieates the unit is in the transmit modÄ™. The green LED indieates the unit is in the receive modÄ™.
14. FREQUENCY COUNTER : This frequcncy counter indieates the selected channcl frequency digitally.
15. TALKBACK SWITCH : This switch is uscd to monitor the sound fccdback effeets.
16. HI/LOW SWITCH : This switch scleet III or LOW band of operation.
17. NB/ANL/OFF SWITCH : When the switch is place in the NB/ANL position. the RF Noise Blanker (NB) and the Automatic Noisc Limiter (ANI.) in the audio cireuits are activatcd. The Noise Blanker is vcry effective in eliminating repetitive impulse noise such as ignition interferenee.
18. S-RF/SWR/ SWITCH : In the S-RF position. the meter swings proportionally to the strength of the received signal. When transmitting. the meter indieates relative RF output power. When in the SWR position. the standing wavc ratio is measured.
