Form-A-Lines General Instructions

In order to complete your cards you will require thcsc acklitional items:

•    Sticky tape cuł into smali pieces (o sccurc ihe ends ot Ute Ihreads.

•    Clear drying glue or double-sided adhesive tape for finał assembly.

•    A piece of foam, a felt mat or a folded towcl to protect your work surface.

Step One Protect your work surfacc. Opon up the card and with ihe right side facing up. lay a design templatc on the middle section.

Step Two Holding the templatc in place, takc the large pin and prick through each dot in tum on the templatc making surę that the pin also goes (hrough the card. Remove the templatc when the entire design has been completed.

Hitu 1/you wi.sh to secure your template to the card with sticky tape. place the tape on and off a clotli seeeral times. This will lakę off the excess stickincss yet stil! a Iłów ii to adherc to the card withoul łeaeing a mark. To test first use the rever.se of the right panel as this will eventually be hidden.

Step tltrec Ctit a length <>f thread alx>ut 2 feet long and thread the ncedle. (It is betier co use several short Ihreads rather tlian one long piece as Ihe holes of the card tnay start to wear away the filament in the thread and causc it to fray. The undersidc of your work will Iw hidden so it docs not matter how many limes you seal your threads.) Altach the thread to the back of the card, close to the starting point, with a smali piece of sticky tape*, making surę that you do not cover over any holes.

Step Four Pol Iow instructions for each embroidered design, securing each length of thread with a smali piece of sticky tape.

To clarify: "Out at..." ineans brine the needle from the back of the work through to the front.

"In at.means take the needle from the right side of the work through to the back.

Step Fivc When a design is completed fold under the right hand side of the card and glue tn place arournl the edge.
