Ask Ss to match the programme types with examples of local programmes.
b Ask Ss how many TV channels they have, if they watch much TV and how many hours a day. Show Ss the examples and ask them to discuss their preferences in pairs.
Ask Ss to work in pairs or groups to prepare the opening section of a type of programme of their choice. The Ss then read it aloud and others identify the programme type.
