Pedagogika kultury wobec pytań współczesności
Pedagogy of culture as one of the specialized subdisciplines of pedagogy, due to its ori-gin and object of research, occupies a leading position among other educational Sciences. Pedagogy of culture should be regarded as significant, fully grounded and also indepen-dently developing trend in Polish pedagogy.
The most important segment recognized as a matter of cultural education is primarily a learning process taking into account the part of the human culture in the production of materiał or spiritual culture. The effect of this process of education is enriching the the human sense of values and spiritual forces, which is often emphasized in the works of leading representatives of cultural pedagogy.
Education plays an important role in the learning process. Education, which triggers in all people and the single human being the sense of taste, feelings, actions and exploration of the world of values. Pedagogy, and in particular pedagogy of culture, emphasizes the need for preservation of the social environment, not only in children and adolescents, but also in adults.
Pedagogy of culture has a special role to play in the event of a variety of emerging risks connected with the economic situation, the influx of foreign, less valuable popular culture, and decreasing importance of culture in the life of the community or the State.
In light of these risks arises the need for a new perspective on some of the areas of culture that make up the subject of pedagogy of culture. Significant role of cultural education arises both for the individual and society. It should include pupils, students, adults and the elderly. This form of education serves people throughout their lives. A prime example of life-long education is the increasing development of open universities in Poland and around the world.
