Local electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (LEIS) provides a powerful way for investigating the local reactivity of an interface. In this presentation, a short review of the advantages and the limitations of LEIS will be given. A special attention will be paid to experimental setup and the spatial resolution that can be reached. Then, some recent applications of the technique for the study of corrosion (galvanic cou-pling, pitting corrosion...) will be discussed in morę details.
